Lap Band surgery date is Dec. 7th

It has taken quite a long time to get to this point, but I finally have a date for my lap band surgery which is 12/7/04. I don't see very many guys posting, but then it may be that some don't feel the need to share. I am excited and scared. Excited that my future now looks better for my health both physically and mentally. Scared that there may be complications or that it may not "work" some how. Anyway, all for now. I have my pre-op stuff later today. Surgery is at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto.

Hi Bill, CONGRATULATIONS on your confirmed surgery date! It just happens to be the same as my own. Although, mine will be the Lap RNY procedure. You are right...I never see many "guys" posting, as much as "gals." Not sure why that is, but we surely welcome you to the board, anyway! I think we can all share your excitement and fears...from what I have heard and observed, it is natural. Most of us are taking this step in order to be healthy and prolong our lives, and I am sure you are doing the same. I am confident you will be just fine. Hi Bill! I'm having Lap-band here in Farmington, Maine on the 8th of dec, the day after you. I will spend the time I would have spent fretting about my own surgery praying for you while you are having yours, ok??God Bless!!

Hi Bill~ I am having my Band Surgery the day after you at Depaul Health Center in Bridgeton, Missouri. I know how you feel. I am so excited but scared at the same time. I do not want to go another day the way I am so we both have to stay on the positive side and keep the faith this will help us. Good luck Barb G.
