I have a date tooo!!! Do you have any second thoughts??

Hello to all: I have a date of December 28th.. It's four weeks out and I'm a thinking yessssss... noooo.... I can't wait.. I can wait.. Did anyone ever have second thoughts?

CONGRATULATIONS on your confirmed surgery date! YES! Every single day, I have those second thoughts, and continually have to remind myself that I am trying very hard to prolong my life here. December 28th is a good date! That's my daughter's birthday! Please know you will be in my thoughts and prayers as your day approaches. God bless you! Pat

Every morning - one week away and one minute I'm excited and the next minute I think - maybe if I try (AGAIN ) really really hard this would not be necessary - then I think - Yea right, I've lost over 800 pounds in my life and gained 1000 back...I am with you in my prayers jan

Congratulations on your up coming surgery. My surgery is on the 9th so I don't have time for second thoughts and I have come this far so I won't turn back now. Relax and think of losing those pounds and feeling better about yourself. Donna

I thought I was the only one.... Thank God I'm not I was approved this morning and let me tell you so many things have cross my mind!!! from ok I can do this and to Maybe I can just try one more diet!!! But I am going to go and get it done on 12/27/04! and dont you worry about anything we can do it ... this is the reason we begged the insurense companies right? Hello Jeannie, I'm glad to know that I am not the only one.. ALSO!!! I have never found much in diets other than 5lbs per letter.. you know.. D (plus 5lbs) i (plus 5lbs), heck, I always gain atleast 20 lbs every time I tried a diet.. Heck with that.. I have mulled over this for almost a year.. and gain about 15 more lbs just thinking about this.. I am so put out with myself and my insurance company has decided not to pay for this type of surgery as of 1/1/2005. I pushed the dr's office to work me in, and I guess it is meant to be, since I got a date of the 28th. Thank you so very much for your reply. I have found much comfort in the responses that I have received from the message board. I'm new to this kind of thing. But anyway.. Let me know how you are doing after your surgery.. Good Luck!!
