Dec 3rd surgery date
First, I'd like to say "Best Wishes for a Speedy Recovery" to those who are scheduled this month, and I look forward to checking back to learn of your progress.
I am scheduled for the RNY surgery Dec. 3rd. I must get through a stress test Nov.29th and get my cardiologists okay for general anesthesia. It is my fault for not seeing him sooner. I have gone through all the tests, insurance approval, all that is left now is this stress test. If he doesn't give me the okay, I'm going to be out a bucketful of money on tests. If you think you'll need to get another doctor's approval for surgery, please see them first. I have never had a stress test, so I don't know if I should be worried or not. I'm hoping I will pass with flying colors.
The hospital I'm going to has just begun the WLS and I am in the first group. There are 3 of us scheduled on the the 3rd and three more for the 10th.
I'm extremely excited about it. To be rid of the diabetes is the best part to me. I hope to be rid of my foot pain that began after I gained the last 20 lbs. Looking forward to meeting folks here.
Hi Donna,
Oh man!! I'm with YOU as far as wanting the diabetes to go away forever!! I know that the damage the diabetes has caused thus far, i.e. neuropathy, glaucoma will not be reversed...but I am just hoping it can be checked before any FURTHER damage is done by it.
I am due for my own pre-op on the day of your surgery. Please know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers as your day approaches.
God bless you!
Pat
