As of Jan. BCBS and all 3 of their plans will no longer cover wls. This means that if you are scheduled after jan something (I do not know the exact date) you will be concidered a self pay. If this isn't news to you all Im sorry to waste your time.

I'm with BC of CA and I scoured their site and I can't find anything that states that they'll no longer cover it.
I found that they won't cover it unless it's medically necessary...but that was it...

It actually popped up on my screen when i signed on to the site. Maybe it wasn't correct but it had adressess to send to bcbs to petition for them to change their minds and all the details behind the decision. I went on bcbs.com and searched for some info there too but found nothing.
Hmmmmmmmmm I wonder if it's only in your area...but that doesn't make much sense either. And when I come onto the site, there isn't anything about it.
Talk about frustrating...good thing we have our dates in December! *s*
