Question on pre op tests...

Hello to all. Havent been on in a while - have been very sick for over a week. But.....I'm feeling much better now. I had my chest xray and stress test today and am totally exhausted. Tomorrow I am scheduled for my EGD (I'm nervous to say the least). My question is when I have this done is it a long recovery time or do most seem to bounce back from the EGD and return to work the following day? And, also should I remove my makeup prior to the appt. - I mean, is it necessary or does it even matter? Any responses are welcome. Love to all, Jill

Jill, I too was very nervous about the EGD. It turns out that it was for nothing. I was completely out for the procedure and didn't even know anything about. If I ever had to do it again, I wouldn't give it a second thought. I was fortunate enought that I didn't even had a sore throat and going to work the next day was not a problem. As far as makeup is concerned, I was placed on my left side for the procedure, so it is possible it might get smudged a bit. Good luck tomorrow! Mary
