Merry Early Christmas! Dec 21st is the big day

I have thought about this for a long time. I have gone back in forth in my mind. The moment I get the date on paper is the time I choose to freak out. I am trying to stay focused on the why's and the look forward to's .. rather than the OHMYWHYAMIDOINGTHIS freak out. It is hard. You all are great! I love reading the posts. You are all in my prayers. I hope that I am in yours. Here's to the new life... the new courage.... and the new zest....

BELIEVE ME!!!!!!!!! I know exactly how you feel. I have been up and down for 2 months. I always have known that I am going to go through with it but still have concerns. From here on in I swear to think only positive thoughts. I like the remark you made of staying focused on why we have decided to do this. You have my prayers. Pat T

Please know you're not the only one feeling this way. I just got my date today and it is also Dec. 21st! And suddenly for the first time, I'm doubting myself. I have 4 children that I home school, and if something goes wrong, I'm leaving my hubby to care for them by himself, and I'm leaving them to possibly having to go to school for the first time ever. Just know OHMYWHYAMIDOINGTHIS is the same thing I said when I hung up the phone with the Dr.'s office! Take care, and stay focused and congrats!

Hi Laura! It is only expected to have those feelings of doubt as well as the excitement...we are all going through that! It helps me to go through the profiles of others who have had my surgery and see all of their successes. It really helps to keep me motivated! Best of luck to you on your surgery! Pam

I sure can relate to the freaking out stuff, such mind games I can play with myself. I will be 1 week post op when you have your surgery. I wish you well.
