Bridget:
Best of Luck with your surgery. I am having my surgery on the 7th of December also. I, like you, am very nervous. I also have quit smoking. It is now 8 days for me off the cigs. It is hard, but it is worth it. I know one thing, after you stop and smell it from someone who is smoking, it really stinks, doesn't it?
Do it Girl!!! We will do it together!!!
I gave up coffee for WLS about three weeks ago. Cold Turkey. I was drinking about 8 cups a day. It has been tough. Are you still holding strong against smoking? I have been drinking water like I'm going to drown in it (and using the toilet every 10 minutes...I hate that about drinking a lot of water!) but haven't had any coffee since. My date is 12/13. -- vrabe
Good job on the coffee quiting!! I have now been smoke free going on week!!! :cool I feel so much better!! I have been chewing a lot of gum.... but better that than smoking. I chew Trident Whtie or Eclipse gum. I dont even want a cigg now. For the first couple of days it was REALLY hard. I thought about it a lot. The only time I think about it now is after I finish eating occasionaly. Keep up the good work and Congrats on your surgery date!!
Congrats! I am on December 6th. I am very nervous too. But very excited. My sister says that me being nervous is a way of me looking on the darker side of things but I think it's normal to be nervous for having this kind of surgery. Or any surgery for that matter. Anyway, good luck to you and God bless.
