New to Join - Just got my date!

Congrats on the date. I am scheduled for December 7, my birthday. I did this on purpose as this surgery is kind of a re-birth for me. I know that I will be able to live a happier, healthier, longer life because of it. As for feelings about the surgery. I told myself I would not get anxious, but I am. Not because of the surgery but because the surgery is so far off. They wanted to give me a date in October but I needed time to get the money together for my co-pay $3000.00 and have some leave accumulated to be able to take off (new job).
