I have a date!
Well congrats to you too. this is soo exciting and scary! What type of surgery are you having. Mine will be open. How am I preparing you ask....Well, I have made a lot of changes. 1) I only allow myself to have 1 cup of coffee day. Don't want to give it all up at once. But I have cut sugar completely out of my diet. I use splenda for my coffee. I've adjusted to the flavor. Secondly, I really try to do some sort of excercise everyday. especially at work. Because I work full time and it is hard to fit in in my schedule when I get home. then I have not put myself on a diet, but I have decided that I needed to start eating healthier. Also I hate, hate, hate, drinking water. but Propel water has saved me. Anytime I want something sweet a grab one. so far I have lost 6lbs, and have 9 to go. I have been eating lots of salads with protein. It's been working. My BMI is 47. 2 months seems so far away. I want to call the Dr. and tell them to take me next month. But then I relax and try to educate my self about my new lifetime commitment. Also, I try to go to as many support group meetings as I can. You would be surprised at how may hospitals have them, and anyone can go. Good luck on yor journey. I hope is is speedy!

I am having a lap RNY. Good for you on cutting out sugar. I have been phasing that out, but haven't given it up. Pretty much I've been eating protein, raw veggies and fruit and whole grains. Did your surgeons place an order that you must lose a certain amount before surgery? I struggle to get a walk in every day as I don't get home until late and leave early in the morning. What do you do for exercise at work?
