Gaining Weight?? WTH?

hey all! about 4 months ago i started taking birth control pills and have been seeing the scale go up up and away...whyyyyyy?? i have been eating kinda crappy too anyone else having weight gain issues what can we do to get back on track?? hellllp meee!

Hi, I bounce between ten pounds but don't worry myself to death over it. As long as I never go pass 200lbs. I eat like **** also so your not alone. I'm trying with my husbands help to get back on track because if I don't eat properly then I'm on the toilet with the Sh%$ You could go back to the diet when you first had your surgery and try that. Talk with you GYN about the birth control drug you are on. There may be better ones ou there. I still follow the rules and I am not dealing with any weight gains. In fact this past year with PS surgery I have lost another 37 lbs. Good luck. Went from 330 to 153.

Hi Monica, I have booked my plastics. I'm having a tummy tuck and breast reduction on December 19th. Kinda like a Christmas present to me. Any words of wisdom for the recovery? I'm still hovering in the mid 170's. I've gotten as low as 172, but then I range from 172 - 178. Did you follow any special diet after PS, to help lose the additional 37 pounds? I'd love to hit 150. I did the plastic feb. 2006 and I love my boobs. I think I touch them more than my husband. Where are you getting it done? I only lost 7 lbs. with the skin. It always seems that it should be more. Go back to excercising when the MD allows and tone the skin that is left. Massage the scars to help circ. to minimize the scars. Tammy Lowery madison, NY

Hi Everybody---- I did my paniic PS in dec 2006 and now I'm putting a request for a panni revision with arm lift and breast lift to my insurance. Hope they will approve everything. I only lost 5 lbs with the pannic. but they took off 51 inches of skin. My lowest weight was 148 and today I weigh 160. I'm not real pleased with the weight gain, but part is my own fault and part of it is probably muscle from my workouts. I am doing weight training fairly consistently. I get really upset some days that I'm not still losing. I'm an 8/10 depending on the day. Cheri

I started taking the pill too and it makes me hungry too!! I used to take it in the morning and it would make me feel like snacking alllll day! So I switched to right before I go to bed, so it's not really an issue anymore. You need to make a plan for yourself to get back on track... and follow it!! Set yourself reasonable goals and reward yourself for accomplishing them! You'll do fine!

I had my RNY in 2004 lost down to 140 looked awful gained up to 160 felt perfect, then hubby suddenly died, now am at 210 was 218 but ate the Cardio diet and lost eight in a week. My mistake had been not eating at all....just crackers for comfort...so...cardio diet for seven days then back to protein first for a week. Cardio diet...when a heart patient has to be immobile but lose weight fast before surg: cabbage, any veggies you like onions carrots bell peppers garlic allspice chicken broth unsalted and mushrooms celery a huge stew use any spices you like except salt instead use dill, lemon juice ect....then coo****il al dente....chewy...freeze half...each day you get as much cabbage soup as you wish whenever you wish....your body has to work so hard to digest it burns calories....first day you get fresh veggies with your cabbage soup...I had cucumbers and tomatoes....second day you get fruit any except bananas and no milk products but plenty of water...all the time water.....not until thirty minutes after you have eaten remember?......i had strawberries and blueberries....third day a tater and a glass of skim milk....I baked a sweet tater with cinnamon....fourth day fresh veggies again....fifth day meat...not beef...too hard to digest after all those veggies....sixth day....fruit again and finally a banana!!!!...seventh day a small amount of whatever you crave the most no matter what it is....for me it was crackers and a banana you are still eating cabbage soup every day whenever you are hungry...amazingly I was not hungry at all, lost eight pounds, got on a regular schedule and felt tons of energy again...no gas! and no runs and never got tired of the cabbage soup....next week I am making a week of bok choy chinese cabbage with snow peas mushrooms and ginger and lemon to change it up a bit...anyway research cardio regimes and check with nurses nutritionists and drs and always always eat but eat healthy and take chewable vitamins if you have had an RNY we do not absorb nutrients like other folks....its just when you think you are normal that you screw up....leslieg7
