NEED REVISION......NEED ADVICE
Hi there Yvette...
I hope you don't mind me putting my 2 cents in...but I had three endoscopies back in April of this year...I also feel that my opening has stretched...I can consume more than a cup and a half of food at one time. My surgeon told me to continue what I am doing an to continue my exercise. At times I felt as if I was not going to lose any more weight either. I was already amore than a year out before this procedure. I still fight everyday and I always feel hungry...I don't think having a revision at this point in time is an option for you you just yet...have yu been following all the rules of the pouch and upped you exercise, water intake and protien. PLEASE try all of the basics first before you have your revision you may not even need it. The second time around is always harder and more dangerous.
I wish you all the best in what ever you decide I hope you are approved...but until then do all that you can with the tool that you have and always get a second opinion.
regards,
Missy~~~;o)
Hello missy,
thanks for responding. I don't mind if you put your 2 cents in because I totally understand what you are saying about waiting. I've also heard that the second time around is dangerous. My doctor told me all about the risk. It will be 2 years for me next month. Everything has been sent in to my insurance company and I guess all I have to do now is wait and see what happens. I have also had a second opinion and both doctors have said the same thing about the revision. I'm so disappointed in my very slow weight loss that I have lost my appetite and I'm not eating much, but I'm still drinking liquids.
I will keep in touch and let you know if I get the approval. Take good care.
Y
