OT - my baby

My baby who is my 5 1/2 pound Yorkie is sick. Her and my bigger dog who is like 25 pounds got into a fight about a month ago. I took my little girl LT to the vets, they gave me a good bill of health and sent me home but since then she still wont walk up steps or use her back legs properly. Took her to the vets today and I so upset as she has three fractures in her pelvic. If you look at the pelvic she has one on the right side, left side and one down the middle. Almost like my big dog clamped down and snapped her little pelvic. Vet said she has seen fractures like this when a car hits a dog but NEVER in her life time has she seen such a bad break happen with a dog fight. Vet said that little dog is in pain and I said not according to my husband because she is not crying out in pain. She said dogs don't have to cry out to be in pain. SHE SAID THAT LITTLE DOG IS IN PAIN AND YOU TELL YOUR HUSBAND THAT. She said it's been going on almost a month since the fight so let's get her on some pain pills. Keep her as quit as possible so she can heal. She said pamper, pamper and PAMPER her so she can heal and get through this. The left side and the fracture down the middle will heal OK but she is worried about the right break as it's close to her joint and they might have to operate if it's not healing properly. The vet said I can't even believe she is able to walk but the vet said I think the only thing saving her is her small size right now. Donna

Awwww Donna I am sorry to hear about the Yorkie... Those doggies are just so cute! I hope she will heal up just fine... The vet is right, she needs to rest and recoop herself... And keeping her quiet and relaxed will help immensely... That is strange that a dog fight can hurt her that bad tho... She must be fragile for sure... Poor baby... How are you doing now? I hope things are going better for you as I know you were sick a lot there for a while... Things here are good and I just found out this week that I got a job!! It's in my field of study and I am so excited about it... I'll be working day shift & no more weekends unless its for training sessions... I will be starting on August 14th... YOU GO GIRLFRIEND ON THE JOB!! I have my good moments and bad moments. My little Yorkie is resting well and I take her in on 8/28 to have her checked again. I will NOT let that last vet TOUCH her EVER AGAIN!! He sent her home with a good bill of health. JERK OFF!! Hugs Donna
