Need a family hug
Thanks Candy,
Your right, it can't hurt but it was hard when my surgeon said that word "Anorexic"
I'm now keeping a chart on the computer of when I eat, how much and if I purge. I eat like a bird but never realized it before and I purge at least once a day but I do have my bad days and purge up to three times a day. The schedule is actaully helping me to see what I'm doing to myself.
I'm still waiting to hear from my PCP as my Surgeon said he was going to contact her and let her find me a psychologists. I did not want my PCP knowing about my problem but she is main care provider. I would like to get my own eating under control myself.
Ron, my husband thinks if I go back to work it will all go away. The assistant living that I worked the night shift needs someone from 5pm until 8pm and Ron said NO, he wants me home at nights. Crushed my heart as I miss my residents.

From experience, a psychologist can really help you Donna... I had some major issues going on a few years ago and one helped me to get my life back on track... So think about seeing one hon... there is no shame in admitting you need someone to talk to... A good psych can help you work through the issues and get to the bottom of why this is happening to you... Don't ignore it hon because it's not going to go away on its own as Ron seems to think...
Your chart is a good idea too I think... But I urge you to accept some help to get you over the hump... I'm worried about you....
God bless hon and if you need me, I am here for you!!
Chelle
Thanks, I'm glad someone understands what I'm dealing with.

I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I'm having similiar tough times in my personal and career lives. I don't purge, but I don't lose weight very well either.
Somedays, I get too caught up in depression to eat properly.
I find I have to journal and plan all of my daily eating, in order to get enough protein. I still have at least one protein shake per day and still take all my vitamins. This seems to keep my physically healthy.
I'm seeing a counsellor to work on the mentally healthy part of my problems. Counselling is a good thing. If you can get access to a good counsellor, I highly recommend it.
We have to keep reminding ourselves that the surgery only fixes our physical being and we have to work on our mental / spiritual sides, by ourselves.
My heart goes out to you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Donna---
I will keep you in my prayers. You can't do this without help. Please at least do a consult with a therapist. They can really help you take control of things. We work so hard on the outside, we often forget our inner issues. Love your inner self and talk to someone who can help you deal with the many changes in your life.
Hugs,
Cheri
