I'm so depressed......
Hi!
I found out recently that my bluecross/blueshield insurance would cover WLS if I had a BMI of 40 or above for three out of the past five years.
I am so depressed...... I had a 100 pound weight loss that occurred four years ago. It took two years to lose it. I was only able to do this because I was under extreme emotional distress. My eight year long relationship was breaking up. I started gaining again after I met the love of my life and almost all the weight has come back on. Now I definitely quailify for WLS. If they(insurance) would look at my whole 10 year history, I would more than qualify.
My weight in '04 is the only year I have that works for the past five years. I know I need three years weight history to qualify. Does anyone know if this is calendar years (Ex. weight recorded in '04, '05, and '06) or three years counting months (Ex. a full 36 months from the weight that was taken that had a BMI over 40)? I hope it is the first scenerio so I'll only have to wait a short period of time. Anyone with any knowledge please let me know. I am a teacher with the state Blue Cross/ Blue Shield health plan.
Thanks Clyda!

Hang in there Clyda, Eventually you'll get there! I myself am having a hard time getting on board with anyone, and it can pull you down so hard if you don't fight it. This hurry up and wait, can drive you crazy!!! And of all my virtues (like there IS that many
), patience has never even passed me going down the street, much less be a part of my make up!! HEEHEE.
Just tie that knot as hard as you can and hold on for dear life.
If you need cheering give me a holler. ONe of my favorite distractions when it starts running in my head to much is to get on one of joke sites and look at all the stupid stuff or play silly games.
Best tshirt I ever saw said:
IF YOUR ARE NOT LIVING ON THE EDGE, YOU ARE TAKING UP TO MUCH SPACE!!
Take care.

Hello Donna,
Thanks for sharing your picture. You look great.
I want to see a new body shot.
Hubby and I did yard work Sunday (mowed and
raked etc.) for two hours. I am still so sore. I went
and walked last night with my support group. I did
the whole hour even though I was sore and didn't
want to. I made myself.
Have a great day. I'm enjoying my day off today.

You really live up to your name! Cute and sexy Donna!
You have really come a long way. You are truly an inspiration. I love to read your posts! I have gained 10 pounds and it is really scary. I am doing a lot of muscle toning but I am also eating some bad foods again. I can have sugar and Easter was a big blur of candy! Now I have to work hard to lose it again. After all the surgery is just a tool!

I'm a teacher with blue cross blue shield. I didn't weigh what I did pre-surgery except for the past year. Something was going on they couldnt figure out and I gained an extra 30 pounds. I felt like i was going to die.
I really didn't go to the doctor much prior to my blood pressure and last year. I was in college busy..etcetc. I had merely no trouble getting approved. I don't think you will either. Think positive!
