Prilosec worked
That darn cramping started coming back this morning like always so I broke down and got some Prilosec and so far so good. Hoping this does the trick and keeps the cramping away.
I'll hold off on seeing my surgeon and save that money for other bills instead of a Doctor bill
Thanks Susan for telling me to try Prilosec.
Donna
Donna, I'm glad it has worked for you... I wish that had been all that I needed to take for mine, but I'm sure glad it has worked for you. If you see that the cramping comes back, please don't wait to long to call your surgeon. I know spending the extra money is no fun since you just quit working, but if it gets to bothering you again, call him....
Hugs,
Susan
Thanks Susan,
Your such a sweetheart
I'm still feeling better as I write this by now my problem is I don't want to eat, go figure
I did write my surgeons assistant and told her what was going on. Very interesting to hear what she had to say about what vomiting will do to your opening. Below is what she wrote. I was not aware you can close the opening from vomiting and here I was throwing up 2 to 3 times a day Not good at all.
Donna,
Sorry to hear you are having problems. Sounds like some of it may be caused by stress-I would definitely try the prilosec for a week or two and a bland diet-no citrus, tomato based products, spicy foods. If that does not help then you will need to see Dr. Koren. When was the last time you were into see him? I would suggest you still make an appointment to see him. Also, if you vomit, you should always go back to liquids for at least 24 hours-this will give the opening from you stomach to the small intestine a chance to heal-every time you vomit-you run the risk of narrowing that opening. As for gas, gas can be caused by increase in the amout of carbohydrates you are consuming. I know if I eat too many carbohydrates I get really gasy. Watch what you are eating.
