Topic: Happy Friday Everyone
On the 10th I turned 20 mos.!!!
Update: was 393lbs.
now 184lbs.
Issues: currently suffering from bouts of low blood sugar crashes, the most awful feeling in the world. Got as low as 45, could hardly move. I see an endocrin doc this tues. to check for pacreatic tumors associated with wls. I also have very low blood pressure. Although working out raises my blood pressure, it also sends my blood sugar dangerously low...so I've stopped working out until I can figure out whats going on. I am tired and cranky alot. I thought I would share and would like to know if others are having problems with low blood sugar too.
Have a good friday everyone!

Hello Steve......first I have to congratulate you on your amazing weightloss
Sorry to hear about the knee pain, is there any type of physical therepy that can help? About the depression, it happens to the best of us, I too deal with it and I am on medication for it. We all lose loved ones.....you can't let it get you so down.....there will be someone else out there for ya. Instead of focusing on the one that left you......focus on the one that is still there:YOURSELF Get some help for the knee pain, maybe some low impac****er exercises, maybe getting to the gym will also boost your self esteem.....maybe get to your PCP and see about getting something for depression.......This should be one of the greatest times in your life, you should be happy and living it!!! Did you know there is a singles board one here???
And there is also a mans board too......Do some stuff for you~hope you start to feel better....Take Care

I had my sugery only 7 months ago. I had skin problems even before surgery. Now It's even worse. I'm down 120lbs. Did you insurance cover the surgery? Can you tell the particulars of what things you had to do to get the surgery? I'm very curious. I'm sure once you can move better you will not regret your decision.

Dear Steve,
You should post more. I think we all have times we get depressed, and the people here on this board really care about each other and we all talk about the things that are bothering us. I don't know what your pain is. Please tell us so we can pray about it. I remember when I went for the surgery, they asked if I had any problems and my knees always hurt. I was so used to it that I almost didn't even mention it, and when I did the lady said, YOU ARE TOO YOUNG FOR YOUR KNEES TO HURT. I am 50 now, that was about 3 years ago.
My back hurts a lot of days and I am used to that too, so much so, that I sometimes forget to mention that.

What kind of pain are you having? Physical or emotional? Have you talked to your doctor? Is it in a specific area? Pain is usually a sign of something wrong. Please check it out.

I am 53 and have never felt better. Please take care and keep us posted on how you feel. Here is a (((((((((((((( HUG))))))))))))))))))))) for you.

Ask your surgeon or your PCP to recommend one. Then, have them make an appointment. Make sure they accept your insurance. Have them apply for you, the reconstructive surgeon. Don't go to a cosmetic plastic, go to a reconstructive. Insurances won't pay for cosmetic plastic, only reconstructive. They do all the paper work for you. Your insurance company will determine if you're covered and mail you a letter letting you know of your decision.
