Wow, i just realized this was from a year ago. I hope that you faced your demons. I know I stopped wearing some of my pretty clothes because I have gained abour 30 lbs. When I couldn't get the shorts that I wore last summer zipped, that was it. I started working the Core WW plan, with some modifications to get handle on this before it gets really out of hand!

I have been gotten used to eating the same foods forever, and really forgot that my pouch has a voice in my choices. I started last week using the WW core plan as template for a food plan that I could adjust as necessary. I was getting sloppy and had couldn't zip up the shorts that I had worn last summer. I just got a new stove with 4 burners that work and a oven that is calibrated right, and I used it to prepare a couple of things that I was planning on eating all week. After all I had eaten all of the ingredients separately. I ate just a bit of what I brought today, and my pouch had a hissy fit. Felt like I had swallowed a bric****pt thinking I was going to barf and hoped I would feel better. Almost went home sick. Finally , after 6 hrs the worst has passed, still not hungry, but not miserable anymore. Amazes me that my pouch tolerates all kinds of stuff, that I wi**** wouldn't. Don't get that kind of feedback for most kinds of junk. There are lots of things that I wouldn't even try, no matter how yummy they look. Disappointing that something healthy, protein very low fat, low in calories would cause this kind of discomfort.that I need more of for those things.

Topic: RE: Soooooooooo Sore!
Hi Sunny, Congradulations on your upcoming wedding. I get very sore also from lifting weights. I have lots of aches and pains in my arms from years of lifting those patients during my nursing career. I do enjoy my bike. I was put on Lyrica for my Diabetic Nueropathy and it has packed on about 15lbs on me which has made me very upset. I did not see the drug helping me so I stopped. I began cutting back and 10lbs are off Exercise is not my thing. I walk and ride my bike but the gym is just not for me. My spring clothes now fit and I am happy. After losing all the weight we did, me myself and my feeling say.................... I CANT AFFORD AND WONT BUY BIGGER CLOTHES!! I finally got a nice outfit on yesterday. Enjoy your daughter and her visit and your upcoming wedding!! Lorraine

Our youngest daughter graduated in May and is home until she gets married in November and then moving back to the Orlando area .....Anyway, she wants to lose a few pounds before the wedding so she signed us up at a gym....Now, mind you, I lost my weight just getting out and hitting the pavement, riding my bike every day, using stretch bands and hand weights....I haven't been to a gym consistently in over 5 years....I am now on day #3 and very, very sore! My B**** aches, but happy to say that I can do the treadmill for several miles, the eliptical for 20-30 minutes and not get out of breath and keep a descent heart rate!! I think the weight lifts are what is causing my pain I guess this WLS is still working! Now.....I just need to lose those 5-10 pounds to put me back in a size 2 comfortably......... luvitsunny I hope everyone is doing well!

Everything is going well here. I got a raise..I completed Pediatric Life Support..I get my BSN in August....I take Adult Advance Life Support in June.....I'm off to Peru on a medical mission trip in July....flying to MS tomorrow AM....I'm much busier than I want to be. Blessings and continued good wishes.....luvitsunnyv

Hi there guys!!!!!!!!!!!! How is everyone doing? There are times when I think I can eat anything. Well...................... last night gave me a reminder I CAN"T. I was craving a chocolate bar. There was a bar in the refridgerator. I gobbled it down and ....up it came. Not a good conversation, but a reminder that at one time I could have eaten 6. I guess that is a good thing for me. I will think twice about doing that again. Have a great day Yall!!!!! Anybody have a reminder that things are not the same with eating normally again. God Bless Lorraine

Hi Raquel, I was encouraged by my physician at 6-8 weeks post op to get some bands and do stretches and also to get some 5# hand weights and spend 20 minutes a night with them......I'm tellin' ya....it helped my arms a lot. Post op, I got up to walking 6 miles every day and up to riding my bicycle 15 miles, three times a week. That did not, however, help my extra skin on my thighs and waist line. I haven't had plastics because I don't want the scar that I know a complete lower body lift will make. So, I'm accustomed now to my loose leg skin....but definitely go for the bands and hand weights for the arms......I love my arms!........(I was 53 when I had the surgery 4 1/2 years ago). Genetics plays in the picture a lot....and, of course, exactly how much weight you need to and actually do loose, also, if you have smoked or not and how much of your weight is body fat or muscle mass. Best of luck and let us know how it goes....K?
