Topic: Panniculectomy?
Hi there. Just to tell you, that my surgery was Dec 2003. Before i started this journey I was 371, and am now a pretty comfortable 192. Do i have more to lose? Yeah I probably do. However, I have loose skin in places where i am sure God did not intend for people to have. My thighs, tummy, arms..just to name the big ones. I am currently waiting to be scheduled with my surgeon for a date for my incisional hernia repair. I have been reading a little here and there about people having a panninculectomy at the same time. Anyone know anything about this, where should i go? Would a surgeon do a panninculectomy at the same time as a hernia? OR would i really want a plastic surgeon messing with my insides after my weight loss surgery and doing a hernia when he/she does a panniculectomy? Have i even lost enough for a "tummy tuck"? I am a comfy size 14. I can lose more in my hips, but wow, cant afford to lose more in my breasts. Where the heck do they go anyway? Geez! Thanks for your time everyone. ANY input would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Hi Lorraine,
Ooo, I can feel the pain. My veins stick out in my legs, too, but they don't hurt. I can just imagine if they did. I have muscle pain from FM. Some days it hurts just to get out of bed. Hope all goes well. Will you receive a pay while you're out? Short term disablility or something similar? I had that for my surgery. Glad I sure did. We wouldn't have been able to afford going without my pay for two months. How are they going to fix them? There is a proceedure using saline that's injected just under the skin that makes the veins shrink up and go back where they belong, but you have to go to a dermatologist for it and most insurances won't pay for it. Do they have to remove the vein? Just curious. You don't have to answer any of that if you don't want. Isn't it great about Steve C? Getting married!! That is so great. How are things going with your friend? And sparks?

We aren't finding out the sex of the baby....at this point I don't have a preference and I don't think my husband does either.

Hi Nona, How are you?
How's your weight? Up, Down, or Steady?
My weight goes from 130-135lbs. I remain steady and at GOAL
Any eating issues?
I always have issues and will until the day I die with eating. I guess this will be my downfall and something I battle all the time.
Plans for the new year?
I have not as yet made any plans. I will be off until January 9th. I am having my vein ligation surgery December 5th.I had it done about 19 years ago, but since the WLS I have lost so much body fat they are right up on top hurting me so bad.
Good Post Love you girl

Congrats on the new bundle of joy to bless your family!! Hoping for a boy or a girl? I have three, one of each.
Gotcha! Used to tell that story to cashiers in the grocery store and watch their expressions as they counted. I have 1 boy, 2 girls. Enjoy your pregnancy and new baby to the fullest.

Allison,
How scary for you and your child.!!! Being a Witness, I don't donate or take blood, so I have never had the issue, but how frightening it must have been for both of you. Is she all right now? Poor little tyke.
I am so happy for you on your weight. I will never get there. I will be happy if I can get the 10lbs off that I have gained over the last two months. I know it will be a struggle, but I am confident I can do it if I just try. How much more do you want to lose? How tall are you? I'm 5'5" and my Plastic surgeon says 175 is low enough for a normal size for me.

Sorry haven't been around...but had a lot going on recently....
FIRST off We are pregnant and due end of May or June 1st depending upon what method you go by!!
And hubby accepted a job today in NC so we will be moving as soon as we find a new house down south!!! All of my extended family live in the area so we will have some baby help!!!!
I made it down to 138/140 before getting preggers in August. Now I am around 144/146. Since I was at a normal weight they said I can expect to gain 20-30 lbs. I haven't had any morning sickness and I am almost out of my 1st trimester. Just dealing with constipation but I had that before getting PG. Still wearing my regular clothes!!!
It all seems so NOT real at the moment. I still don't feel Preggers--and probably won't until I feel something or start showing. And the move...well until those guys come and pack up my house--I probably won't believe that part either! But I can't wait to start new house shopping!
We will be about an hour outside of Charlotte NC in a town called Hickory. It is about 1 hour from the Blue Ridge Mtns and one of my favorite areas for outdoor activities! I can't wait to get back to hiking.
Hope everyone is doing well and when I get settled down a bit and over all this shock...I will try to read up on all that has been happening.
