Dear Lorraine Happy Thanksgiving! 1) What are your plans for the Holiday? I went to my youngest sister's. My whole family went except my husband. He sat at home alone. 2) Do you worry about those food demons? Yes, I love sweets! Had some ice cream! 3) As your anniversary approaches for most of us next month, what are your thoughts as the month approaches? It is 2 years and I am disapointed that I haven't gotten down to normal weight. I am still trying, but I feel a little sad that I am not there yet. I am MUCH healthier, have much more energy, and am very happy that I had my surgery. I hope you had a very happy holiday and that your sweetie had a wonderful birthday. Allison

First off thanks for replying to me on my last post. I was feeling very low and you said hi which matters. Thanks. md 1) What are your plans for the Holiday? Protein....protein....and maybe some pumpkin pie? 2) Do you worry about those food demons? After being a lifelong fatty....who doesn't? 3) As your anniversary approaches for most of us next month, what are your thoughts as the month approaches? I will focus on where I am going....NOT where I have been. I have tripped, stumbled, and fell flat on my face. The catch is I WILL GET UP AND TRY AGAIN. MD

Hi there and Happy Turkey day to all that celebrate this joyous time of year. Q.O.D. 1) What are your plans for the Holiday? I will be with family celebrating this year.We also will be celebrating my sweeties birthday which is the 28th. 2) Do you worry about those food demons? Yes, Oh Yes they will be there right on my back I will indulge in some veggies and dips, salads and try to be good. Those dense proteins make me feel so full, so I will do what I know I can handle. Do you guys know what I mean? 3) As your anniversary approaches for most of us next month, what are your thoughts as the month approaches? I feel blessed to have had WLS. I am thankful for my better health, not being diabetic anymore. That nueropathy was killing my poor feetsies. Peace and Love Enjoy your holidays. Health and Happiness to all Lorraine

I will be 2 years post op on the 23rd and I can say that I feel very frustrated right now. I can eat anything I want and since I took over an administraive position 4 months ago, which means I sit at a desk all day, I have gained 10 lbs. I just want to keep losing. I am terrified I will keep gaining. AND I have never had problems with food making me sick. This sucks. I am stuck at a loose 18 or a tight 16 and I just cant seem to get the last 50lbs off. I work full-time, go toschool full-time, and am a single mother. I just can't seem to find the energy to work out. CRAP! Cara

Wow, it seems I have a lot of catching up to do with you guys...... I think Katrina and Wilma had my attention for awhile and to a certain extent they still do......it will probably be a year to get our repairs done. Anyway, I still have my GB....and yes....the "multiple small" gallstones with it. That's my goal by January to get it OUT! I watch what I eat but sometimes certain foods get me by surprise and I get sick. My weight hovers between 118-122. I'm anxious to see what my labs are next month. I feel good but think I look too thin. My portions of food still seem to be very limited. I'm continuing classes and in January I start clinicals in the hospital -- 10 hours a week this semester. By the end of 2006 I hope to have two degrees and pass the state RN board. High hopes, I guess!! Best to everyone... luvitsunnyv

Good to hear you will have an income while you're out. With the cost of things today, having to do without is scary. Glad things are going well for you and your friend. You're right about folks our age. We get set in our ways, and it's hard to bring someone in who does things different. Taking it slowly is such a wise choice. Alison and I were wondering how things were going. Thanks for the update. Hope Steve keeps us all posted on his plans. I love weddings. They're so much fun. Especially the dancing. I miss doing that. I couldn't after the surgery, and now I have a FM flare and can't. I hurt just too darn much right now. But it'll pass, soon, I hope. Nona
