Hi Darrol, How are you? I am sorry to hear about the big D. I am going through the same thing, except my husband is contesting, making it very hard for me. We have been separated 20 years and he just won't let go. He knows I have met someone and I am looking for a new life with my boyfriend. I will be moving in with him Aug 1st. If I get my divorce now or later, I will be with him. I also have my health and good friends. I am stable between 135lbs -145lbs. I am 5ft6 and tall and slim. Life is grand. I will be having the LBL next year. Boy oh Boy....The skin hanging is a bit much. With my clothes on I look great, What can you do . You just can't have it all. I guess I will take the slim saggy gal. Take care and hoping to hear from all you guys. I have a July apppointment for my 2 and a half year checkup. Do you believe it's been that long? Happy Memorial Day to all ((((((HUGS))))))))) & Lorraine

Hello my fellow Decemberites. I hope all is well with you. Divorce has knocked on my door and so I am ending a 23 year marriage. I am the healthiest that I have been in many years and have lost 189 pounds so far. The stress is helping me lose a few more pounds now but that's ok I could stand to lose about 20 more pounds. So I have my health, happiness and friend's life is good and I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I did the first round of plastics a month ago when I had my eyes done. The TT will be done in August or so. As always you can view my photos at the www link. Have a great day, week, month, year....you deserve it. Darrol

School work, even though it is online, is killing my exercise schedule. I'm still maintaining the same weight....and still below surgeon's goal. My eating is still good....no bread....no carbonated drinks. I know I don't get in all the water I should. I miss my L O N G walks the most. I just "Feel" heavier.....

I have the same problem so probably won't be much help. I was down to 142 and as happy as a lark. Maybe too happy. I am up 15 lbs now and have been for the last 6 months or so. I am holding steady but my old habits are starting to creep back in. Coffee in the morning, with caffeine of course and a granola bar. I am left hungry and nervous so I believe I am hungry all of the time. Most protein I dont like or can't digest. I don't like eggs much and can't digest too much meat unless it is ground so it leaves me with carb cravings like crazy. Most of the time my diet consists of cucumber slices, watermelon slices and of course my fatal flaw, fritos. The fritos have to go and I will be watching for other healthy suggestions in response to yours while posting my own help wanted posting. Good luck

Hi Lorraine, I'm not doing too well yet. I tire very easily. I don't eat much, which is probably a good thing. I've very selective on my food choices. I have terrible pain all the time and chronic fatigue, fevers and sore throats. I know, in time, I will get better, but it is going to take a long time. Thanks for asking. Nona

Rose, How are you. You seem to be doing ok with your diet. I am up 5 down 5 pounds but have been at my goal for about 2 years now. I really don't want to lose more. If I gain a few pounds I increase my water intake..I don't drink soda. I really never did. A sip here and there, but I heard it will stretch my pouch and I am so scared of doing that. Keep the faith and just keep You will be just fine. I hope I was help to you. I have been there and done that and don't have the answers, This WLS is sure hard work once the grace period is over huh? Hi Nona, How are you doing girl? Take care....Lorraine

I'm the last person to tell anyone, since I never lost my last 50 lbs, but due to my terrible health, I work with dr's galore, nutritionists and PT's and this is how I eat. Lean, low fat protien. 2,low fat, no sugar , protein shakes a day. Only whole wheat carbs and very very little of them. No sugar at all. Soup has a lot of sodium so you could be retainting fluid as does popcorn. Loose the bacon and corn beef and put in fresh fruit and a slice of low carb whole wheat bread. Lose the soups and eat fresh meats, salads galore. Snacks should be veggies or fresh fruit and never closer than 3 hours before bed. NO SODA. Even diet is bad for you. It makes you retain fluid and crave sugar. As I said, I work with about 6 different dr's due to my health, Physical Therepists and nutritionists. I eat 2 or 3 meals a day, with a tiny snack. I do, occasionally, have a treat of 2 sugar free Milano cookies, but not often. Hope that helps. Nona

Topic: RE: Having a BABY!!
Hi Julie, I had amy baby on March 29th. Make sure you take B12--that will help and take your vitamins religiously. I was horrible at taking my vitamins prepregnancy, but once I was pregnant I got much better at it. I didn't gain any weight with my pregnancy until about month 6. Just make sure you are eating healthy and everything should be fine. In all I gained 35 pounds, but I have lost all but 10 pounds since having her. I had a c-section so I haven't been able to exercise yet. Congrats on being pregnant! If you have any questions, feel free to ask or email! [email protected]
