Dear Lorraine, I am happy to hear that things are going well with your boyfriend. Did you move into his place or he moved in yours? I have been very busy and I think I am going to be very busy for a LONG time. I LOVE this house (and I am hoping we get to keep it) and if it is ours, we have a lot of painting and such to do. It is VERY outdated. Reminds me of the Brady Bunch era. The twins are still going to school in our old neighborhood, so I have to drive them there every day. It means we all have to get up very early in the morning and I am so tired by the time I go to bed I am asleep before I hit the pillow. I am maintaining my weight, but I am not normal weight sooooo... I didn't really plan anything for the 3 year anniversary. I would like to go do something fun though. All we have been doing is working working and more working. God Bless. I am so happy you keep in touch.

Hi to all my December friends and those also who visit here!!! How is everyone doing? I am fine. I want to shout out a to ...Darrol, Nona, Alison, Sunny, Md, Terry, Stephen, and to all I have forgotten. Where are you guys? I am doing well. As of July 1st I moved in with my boyfriend, and things are doing well so far.? What are you guys doing with yourselves lately? I am working hard as usual. I do have some knee troubles, but after the weight loss it seems better, but the damage is done, from being so obese with those skinny legs I always had. How are you guys with your Weight Loss? My weight loss is steady and has been maintained. I feel great. My last question is.... What are your plans for your 3 year anniversary? I am going to and celebrate this wonderful life God has blessed me with. Stop in and say Take care Lorraine

Hi Steve! I had WLS December 16, 2003 and it also changed my life. I just went through a round of plastic surgery and it was definately a trying experience. I had 5 procedures done at one time, a bilateral belt lipectomy, panniculectomy, thigh lift, diastasis recti (muscle repair) and pubic lift. My PS was August 3 and I am just now at a point where I think I am on the road to recovery. I got a pulmonary embolism 2 days after surgery and had to be hospitalized for a week. that was scary...but I would still do it all over again because the results are amazing. The PS was able to pull 31 pounds of exess skin/flesh from my abdomen area and I am down to about 140 pounds now. Glad you are doing well! Cathy

Hi Steve My name is Darlene and would like to congradulate u on ur journey. There is nothing better than being able to get around easier and healthier, so i know i'll be here for my family, especially my beautiful grandchildren. My highest weight was 318 lbs. I had started to check out wls in october of 2003. I got an appt for a lecture in buffalo in april of 2004 then from there i got all the tests, doctors appointments, paperwork done and turned in by august and had a surgery date for september of 2004. In May of 2004 my brother who lived in NH got sick his skin had been yellow for almost a yr and had gotten a letter from the doc telling him his liver wasn't functioning properly. He never got it checked. he was very obese weighing 450 lbs. and was a smoker for 30 yrs. also had sugar problems. He had gone to the er one day with alot of pain and was told he had to have his gallbladder out well to try to make this shorter than a book after surgery he never came off the respirator he was critical for 2 1/2 wks and passed on may 21st 2004 he was only 44. He had alot of health problems. I had seen him during the critical time he was in icu and had to come back to NY there was no change until i had been back home a week then we had to go back for the funeral and after that i wasn't going to change my mind i needed to have this surgery not just for me but for him. He was interested in the surgery also and was checking it out shortly before he died. I miss him terribly I'm so glad i had this surgery i now weigh 143 lbs. and no high blood pressure. I can chase my grandkids around and do so much more than i ever thought i could. You have done a great thing and I am so proud of your accomplishments you deserve to be happy I saw your page and thought oh wow this guy has done so good what if my brother hadn't waited so long to get help we would be spending time today good luck to you and if you would like to chat sometime just email me Darlene

Hi everyone, It's been a while for me. I was sick for quite a while. I am still not 100% and never will be. I am starting back to work, part time to start, on the 18th. For some reason, I have started losing weight again. I'm down to 168. I've lost 30lbs. It's good for my FMS and CFS, but I don't know why it happened, but it did. I'm in a size 12. Some 14's for my arms, but then I have to alter the sides, but I don't mind that. I"m handy with a sewing machine. I had some surgery on my shoulder to fix a little problem with a bone, and that's healing fine, but it still hurts. I will try to keep posting more often, but my health doesn't allow it much, as I am in bed, asleep by 8, and probably will be in bed by 6 once I go back to work. I only have 13 hours of energy a day, as long as I pace myself. Nona

Dear Darrol, Hi. I tried to post yesterday and it didn't work. I moved to Independence, Ohio, but things have not been smooth. First, we ABSOLUTELY had to be out of our house by September 1st. Even with our lawyer, we could not get the business buying our house to change that date. Sooooo, to get into the new house before the title transfered we paid BIG money and the people selling did NOT want renters, so they had us sign a paper that if for any reason the title did not transfer by the 28th, we would pay them $5000 and get out by the 30th. I figured that was no big deal since we got our money on the 1st. However... after we got into this house, the business said their financing did NOT come through and they wouldn't have their money until the 29th!!! One day too late for us. I swear, it seems as if our lawyer is on the business' side. She refused to ask him for the $5000 we have to pay the homeowner, and even to this minute I don't know what is going to happen, and if we are going to have to move out if we are one day late. I weigh 139. Still not normal weight for my height, (5') but it is still my goal to get there some day. No matter what happens, I feel that LIFE IS GOOD. I have never been to Chicago... And Sunny, I wish I could go on another cruise, that was so fun... And Lorraine... so good to hear from you again. I hope everyone writes. I miss you all so much. Allison

Hi Darrol. How are you? I am doing fine. I am up 5 pounds and then down 5 pounds. I am still slim and trim, but eating is a bit easier for me.I am so used to this weight that if I gain more than 5 I take it right off.I am still wearing a size 6 or sometimes and 8. It feels great to be healthy I am bike riding and enjoying every minute of it.. I still have a hard time with meat. I am now able to eat 2 chicken legs. Steak and other meats are hard.Salads and fish work well for me. I have lost and maintained and I am happy about that. Take care and lets all when our 3 year anniversary hits!!!!!!!!!!! Hi there Sunny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can we hear from the rest of you guys? Lorraine ((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) to all

Hey Darrol... I've had a whirlwind summer....finished my AA while working on my AS. I'm in my final semester ending in December. I hope to "park the LPN license" and have that RN one by January 2007. My youngest daughter and I took a cruise in August just before we both returned to classes. It was wonderful. I had a three week break last month and spent much of it on the road with my husband.....conferences, etc. My oldest daughter got me involved in selling on EBay so I have taken my shopping addiction and made a few bucks here and there. My weight is stable between 120-125. I still can't tolerate bread...just melba toast. I haven't regained my tastes for chicken or eggs, either. At this point, I doubt if I will. I have some new pics on my site...from the cruise mainly. We celebrate 3 yrs. December.....Wow! Does it seem like it has been that long?....or maybe that short? Take care.....always good to check in and read everyone's current status. ~Ruthanna ~ luvitsunnyv
