Topic: Went Shopping
Hi Folks,
Guess what I did? Yep, went shopping. I tried on clothes in size 16, which is what I had been wearing, and they were too big. Jacket, pants, and a top. So I went into a 14 and everything fit.
So I guess even though the scale seems to be frozen, I am getting a little smaller. Just wanted to share that with all of you.
Hugs,
Nona

Good job! My hubby wishes at times I would go on something like well-butrin...I hope it makes you feel better. Medicine is a wonderful thing...except oral steroids-don't take those! Eeep!

Topic: No longer a faceless name.... My Pics are up!!!
Hi everyone! Finally, my pics are up on my profile. My profile isn't up to par, but at least now I have pictures so you can at least put a name with a face.
Thanks to the volunteers at OH. I do however want to figure out how to put comments below the pictures. In the first picture, I am preop and my best friend is post op by 6 months and down 70 lbs. Then there is me with my youngest daughter preop (Dec 6- 4 days before WLS), then there is the current picture of me taken this month (the one in the red shirt), another picture taken in April with my best friend both fitting into one pair of pants we each used to share (size 24) and last, my graduation picture Aug 04 .
My hair was real long and straight pre WLS but with the body changes, I went for a whole new look with highlights and lowlights and short hair.
Take a look.

The doctor put me back on Wellbutrin. She gave me about 3 weeks worth of samples. I was very glad to get them. I took one right when I got back to my car. I know it takes some time for the medicine to get into your system but I am hoping that it doesn't take the 2 weeks they say it does. My husband and kids will be very happy when I get back to normal. You know the saying...if Moma ain't happy, nobody is happy!
Thanks for all the support!

Topic: Traveling I-40
Hello Everyone, this really isn't a question about weight loss but I figured someone out there could help me. My dh and I are going to Myrtle Beach next week (no kids) and we heard that I-40 is down to one lane due to land slides. Does anyone know if the traffic has been really backed up? Is it worth taking the detour that AAA is suggesting? It just seems really out of the way. I am really excited about this trip, we went there in June with the kids and liked it so much we decided to go back and do some shows and stuff. Anyway, thanks in advance for your help!!

Topic: RE: Help, I stopped losing!!!!!!
Hi Joan, yep you got it! Comparing doesn't work. I've lost 90 pounds but haven't lost in almost 3 months. That's why I'm going back to my surgeon on Tuesday and say "hey, what's UP?". I figure he's the expert and can tell me what I need to do next. If you are concerned you should do the same. Just my two cents. Have a great day!

Topic: RE: Hurricane over! I'm OK and Weightloss update
Hi Tracy, I'm so glad that you are doing well. I'm right there with ya on the weight loss. For probably a couple of months now it's been an up and down problem. I had an incisional hernia repair done in September and couldn't exercise for 3-4 weeks so I'm just now getting back into the swing of things. I started doing Walk Away the Pounds and I joined the Y with my dh. I started water aerobics and it's fun. I love the water so it was a good choice for me! Yep, definately eating more but also trying to put protein and fluids first. I'm not perfect but I think that I do pretty good. Anyway, I know what you mean about the struggle. Hang in there!
