That is such wonderful news. I guess we have to quit worrying so much. If you know you are doing everything right, we just have to be patient. Your husband does sound very sweet. New clothes in a new smaller size are the best.

Hi there to all my friends, 
How is everyone doing? Good I sure hope. 
I have not seen many posts. I know everyone has a busy life. I seem to be stuck in the house recouping from this hernia and intestine surgery..
I must be feeling better... I am so bored. I can't really do too much household chores or shop so I am close to home.
I am now at my "IDEAL GOAL" I guess with no appetite with the stoma*****ision and being NPO at the hospital I took the last 5 pds off. I am now 135 pds and down -110 pds. I think I have lost what I wanted and more and hope the DR will be satisfied with that. I go back in December for my 1 year anniversary.. WOW guys its soon coming. Our anniversary.
Now my question, As all this time passes us and our anniversaries come up....
What are the happy times you look back on with this WLS journey?
Are there any regrets at all?
And,,,,,Your sad times before your surgery...Care to share them?
What are the happy times you look back on with this WLS journey?
The happiest times were for me the beginnings. I was losing weight so fast it was hard to believe this was happening. I struggled for so long. One more happy time for me was when the DR said.......NO MORE INSULIN. Iwas so happy 
Are there any regrets at all?
Yes the one regret I had is that I did not do it sooner. Sometimes I get a bit crazy when I sit with family and they are pigging out. I kind of miss that part.
And,,,,,Your sad times before your surgery...Care to share them?
Yes the sad times of hiding when family took pictures.
Not being able to fit in movie theatre chair.
Not getting the prettiest clothes I saw.
Do I have to go on and on???? 
There are so many I can't think at this time...

Wow an 8. I've never been that small since I WAS 8. To wear a 14 is incredible for me, as that is the size I was in high school. I weighed less, but I was fatter, less muscle. My hubby was commenting this morning on how good I looked. He says if it weren't for the skin on my tummy and arms, I'd be downright skinny. Such a sweetie.

Congratulations! That is such a great feeling, isn't it? I had the same thing happen. I had been in a 10 and for the first time in my life I am wearing an 8!

WOW,
I thought I was alone on this island of PLATEAU! I haven't lost a single pound in over 6 weeks and in fact gained 6 pounds. I am exercising and don't cheat but I had stopped! Then this week the 6 pounds that I gained have come back off. I think my body has jumped into starvation mode. Give it time. 6 weeks is a long time to go without losing weight and is so frustrating. I know I shouldn't but I weigh everday. That's just me. I had my surgery 12/17/03 and have lost 98 ponds. I see all these folks just dropping it and I get jealous. I saw a friend who had this surgery in April 04 and she has lost over 150 pounds and I felt like a failure. But, HELLO! I AM NOT A FAILURE! I HAVE LOST 98 POUNDS IN LESS THAN TEN MONTHS! WooooHooooo! FOR ME! And WoooooHOOOOO! For you GIRL! WE Are NOT AS Big or as slow as we were this time last year! We are GREAT!

Wish they had something like that around here. Most of the places like that sell really nasy stuff, well worn and many times stained or damaged. I felt like a kid trying on outfit after outfit in a 14. Occasionally, a pair of pants wouldn't fit, due to the tummy, but most everything fit. And some with room. Good feeling.
Something odd happened. I know I have been eating more lately, not bad foods, just more. Well, I ate about 1500 calories one day, and the scale moved yesterday, from 198 to 195. Isn't that odd?

I went shopping today, too. My daughter and I are Goodwill junkies. Today I picked up a Tahari black skirt, a pair of LUCKY black jeans and a black top from Bisou Bisou. My bill.........$16.00.

So glad to hear about your fun shopping day ! I bought an outfit today for my company Christmas party - a bit early I know, but the sales were fabulous, I also bought a wnter coat in a Large, of course went for the XL but it hung off me , even the large has a bit of roominess , but it was a great feeling... It's almost surreal sometimes aint it ?

That's great Nona. Enjoy, enjoy! Don't get too attached to them as you will be reaching for those 12's in no time! Like you said just because the scaler isn't moving doesn't mean the inches aren't coming off. Congratulations, and great job.

Hi there Nona, Congradulations to you girl! One word of advise unless you area a rich lady. Don't buy too much. I bought 2 jeans for the fall and winter, 3 long sleeve tops and 2 sweaters. The rest of my wardrobe will come from the flea markets until this weight loss stabilizes. It is true, even if the scale does not move the inches do. I am hoping that all my spring and summer clothed I bought will fit next year. This WLS is just wonderful but.................... costing a fortune.
