Jesi - Your daughter is sweet!
The only people that know of my surgery are my parents and one of my sisters. None of them live near me (sister is in NC and parents are in CA) so I don't see them very often. I saw my parents in Sept and they were very excited about my weight loss and were very complimenting. My sister is supportive but I don't see her very often. I live alone with my 5-year old daughter. She has been my biggest support. She walks with me a lot and goes to the gym with me on the weekends and holidays. She compliments me all the time and get this, the other day she said to me "Mommy I think you got more skinny this week!" My office staff and people in the building compliment me all the time too on my weight loss so I take that as support! Other than that I just have whatever support I get here. It's nice to be congratulated every once in a while.
Take care.

Hey surgery buddy!
181 pounds today
Loss of 166 pounds since surgery
Pants: 14 or 12 (depending on style)
Tops: 8 or 10 (depending on style)
Journey is definitely flying but I am enjoying every step along the way. Can't wait to reach goal.

Hi Tracy! Thanks so much! Congrats to you on your weight loss. Everyone is doing so well - must be a December thing!! Size 10 jeans are awesome! Let's kick some *ss this month and get these last few pounds off!!

Tracy, you have done really well. You must be so proud of yourself! You have every right to too.
I reach 10 months on the 22nd and currently I have lost 104 lbs. I started out at 293 and I now weigh 189 and have 39 lbs to go to reach my personal goal. I am wearing XL's now, on top and bottom. My weight loss has slowed down a lot since reaching my 100lbs mark. I am okay with that though, I will make it to my goal eventually. I know I will.

I was 10 months out yesterday. Holy cripes, how did I miss that? Wow, time sure has flown. Honestly the last 4 months have been so depressing for me because I don't think I have lost 10 pounds combined the entire time. I know it's because of my new job and the constant snacking that goes on along with the sitting on my butt all day, but otherwise I am so thrilled with my success so far. I am down 143 pounds from my highest weight of 320. I haven't weighed 177 pounds since I was in the 6th grade. I wear a size 14 and size large in tops. I still feel so fat though and it is depressing to look at my skin. I'm young, 22, and I thought I would have that in my favor to avoid all the plastic surgery, but not in this lifetime. Breasts first. They completely disappeared on me. Well, that's my update. More pics in my profile.
Hugs,
Kristen

I was 10 months on the 8th......I alwasy forget my anniversary Oh well! You are right this year has flown by.....I too am in disbelief that we are only two short months away from the year mark!!! For me they are probably gonna be the toughest months too......all about food with halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas......I am goona try my darndest I tell ya!!! I started my journey at 293.....I am at 165 today.....so down 128lbs total.....I wear 10's and 12's.....right now I am mainly wearing the 12's I am still sore from the hysterectomy last Thursday.....I just got my staples out today, so the 10's are kinda snug with the incision! I am past my surgeons goal, they wanted me to get to 181.....I am looking forward to 150ish....not sure the magiv number yet.......MY MAIN goal is to get my BMI into just overweight........right now I am 30.2 and 29.9 is overweight so I am almost there!!!! I can't wait to be out of the obese catagory But if I were to not lose another pound I would be very happy were I am today!!! Great question! Jesi

Hi Jesi,
Good question ...
My main support system is this board, I dont post all that often but just reading about similar struggles or achievments keeps me "in touch".
I also have a friend at work who had the surgery in June and we bounce a lot off each other. I dont attend the group meetings offered by my surgeon mostly because the times are inconvenient.
My husband is proud of me, but is a man of few words , so I dont get all that much input from him. My family and friends are constantly telling me "how great I look" and that is their way of supporting..

My highest was 348....at surgery I was about 310...I am now at 175. I want to get down to 150. I am very muscular and my family is larged framed, so I think I will look tiny at 150...I have countless people telling me I don't need to lose any more weight...but you know how the whole "head thing" goes!!! When I hit goal I will probably still feel fat until I get the boobs and tummy done

HI there Tracy, How are you doing?
Where are you in size, weight, loss and do you feel if this journey is flying by?
I have lost 110 pds and now I am weighing 135 lbs from the original starting weight of 245 lbs. I am at "GOAL" I really don't want to lose anymore. I stand 5ft6 and I am a lean, mean fighting machine. I feel wonderful, I am trying to mend now from hernia surgery.I now wear a Small or XSmall in tops and a Size 8 or even 6 sometimes. Yes the journey is flying by. Can you believe it's almost one year?
Keep up the good work Tracy..... Lorraine
