I do! I live in Battery Park City (a few blocks from the World Trade Center site). Let me know whenever you're in the City and perhaps we can meet!

Under 800?!?!?!?!! It's all I could do to keep it under 1100. My blood suger would bomb. Wow, girl I envy you. Way to go.
Does anyone have suggestions on upping the fiber without upping the carbs other than Romaine lettuce and broccoli? My PCP says I have to. Diverticulitus.
She also says I may have a form of cancer in the mammary gland. A non-malignant form, but surgery may be required. I am so stressed and scared.

Hi there KIm, Long Beach is on the south shore of Long Island. We are on the border of Nassau and Queens. Do you know where that is. We are a bit west of Jones Beach. You can't go any more south then here. We are surrounded by one side of ocean and the other side of the bay.It is raining here so it's very dreary here.
Have a great weekend also

Hi Lorraine !!
Happy 10-month anniversary. You had a VERY SUCCESSFUL 10 months, congratulations! 110 pounds is really awesome and you are at 135! Wow, that's really great. You must feel a million times better, huh? I understand that it's common for you to lose inches after your body gets comfortable at a certain weight. Inches are great too! I hope you are staying dry in Long Beach (where is that anyway?). It's raining here in the City  Have a great weekend!
Kim

Topic: RE: caffeine
Rhonda,
How are you? Let me be honest with you OK? I could not drink coffee for many years due to my high blood pressure. I love coffee. As soon as I was stable blood pressure wise I went back to caffeine. There are so many limits that we have I feel why take my coffee from myself. I have lost my weight and now I am at goal. I really don't think in my case it slowed my weight loss down.
Talk to your DR. My DR never said too much to me about coffee and caffeine. I enjoy a pot of 6 cups every morning ....."LOVE IT"

Tracy, Thanks so much. You are the best
to you and your great weight loss. Soon we will celebrate our 1 year anniversary. I went to my diabetic DR today. He said he does not want me lose anymore weight. He says my surgeon is asking alot for a 5ft6 large boned woman like me to be any less than 135 lbs. He showed me his chart. He said if I had an office job it would be different, but I work on the floors caring for the sick and the elderly.I told him I would just try to maintain now.
I treated myself to a nice pair of dress pants today at OLD Navy.
They fit me perfectly. "I LOVE THEM"
Have a great weekend......

Topic: RE: WHAT DID YOU DO RIGHT TODAY?
Karie,
Yes, My GOAL weight is 115, so I figure my PS goal weight shoudl be about 10 pounds more which is 125. When I reach 125, I'm ready for the surgery! Let me know if you find out anything or any tips on how to get this paid for by insurance. I have sort of a weird problem so I am going to try to get a full body lift paid for. My hiney goes numb when I sit for more than about 5 minutes. Cant be good. I am getting permanent numb spots because of this. I figure that if it is all repositioned with plastics that this will go away. I HOPE anyway, very uncomfortable and sometimes painful. So, I hope that they will see this as serious enough to do a lower body lift. Lets hope! Tracy

Hi Tracy...you have a pre-plastics goal. Have you went to a plastic surgeon yet? I have and I am pretty excited to get started. I am in the process of getting the TT paid by insurance its just a matter of getting the proof to them....paper trail game w/insurance.
I am making sure not to snack/piece too much...so easy to do. It is working because I am down 2 more pounds this week for a grand total of -113 pounds. I was so excited this morning b/c of the loss b/c it seems like I was at a stand still. I am pleased with how I look but these last 15 pounds are like the fine tunning pounds to loose. I think we are all in the same boat with those nasty last pounds hanging on.
Have a great day....ugly rain and very cold here in OHIO. I never had to worry about staying warm w/all the extra weight now I have to bundle UP!
Karie -113

Topic: caffeine
Ok, I know this is a no brainer but I have a question about caffeine. Why are we not suppose to have caffeine? I do not drink cokes but I do like my coffee. I have tried the decaf but my husband really wants the caffeined stuff. I hate making 2 pots. I do not like the instant kind of coffee. To me it doesn't taste as good. I drink about 3-4 cups a day. Is the caffeine slowing down my loosing weight? I have been at a stand still for about 2 months now.
Thanks for the advice in advance!
Rhonda
