You're right, I am a strong woman. I can handle just about anything thrown at me. My PCP called and said I have to go in for another, more detailed mam because they didn't like what they saw on the one I had earlier this month, and then I have to wait for the results. If it is what they suspect, I have a dr lined up, a good one, in Scranton. I'll keep y'all posted as soon as I hear anything. Thanks for the support. Nona

Poor lady~seems like you've been through the ringer......good thing your Dr is taking it serious tho and doing all the testing......If the pain continues you might need to do the exploritory surgery.....sometimes things like kinked bowels can't be seen by the upper Gi or x-rays.....I hope you start to feel better really quick, and that the pain is gone for good!!!!! Take it easy honey!!! Jesi

Hi there my friends, How is everyone doing. Let me update a bit on my exciting life.Sunday night I had pains in my stomach again. I could not stand it. I went back to the hospital. I was in all weekend, but the pains continued. As you guys know I was in the hospital and had hernia surgery Setember 25th. I was also in the hospital in July. The dr then wanted to go in and look and I did not let him. After all I had WLS and I did not want to be operated again. Well They admitted me and did all kind of tests. Barium swallows, cat scans. GI series. You name it they did it. All tests were negative. I just got home. He told me I must take it easy, NO STRENUOUS ACTIVITY. I just don't know how to relax, but I guess I must. I went crazy in there. I was NPO all those days and now have just began eating again. Anyway guys...I am back now.... Lorraine

Topic: RE: HOW MUCH CAN U EAT NOW?
WoW! I am surprised at how little everyone is still eating!!!! I can eat about a cup at a time. I do not eat very regularly at all. At home I eat string cheese and cucumbers in a vinegar dressing as my favorite snack (usually 3/4 cup) Other snakc choices- I eat the carb well peanut butter protien bars or regular granola bars or a whole mini bag of popcorn. For breakfast I almost always have 1 bacon and cheese toaster scramble. We have been eating out a lot lately too- I do sandwhich and salad usually for lunch and can eat maybe 10 bites of salad and 1/4 of a sandwhich- maybe 4 or 5 fries sometimes. Or I get a BLT and eat half and a few fries. Dinner is almost always steak or shrimp when I go out. I can have maybe 3 oz of steak and a few small bites of the sides and stuff- like maybe 3 or 4 bites of salad, the same of the veggie or potatoe and the steak- sounds like a lot to me!!!!! AT home I cook for my family like I always have and I eat whatever we are having. Mexican food, italian, meat and potatoes with a veggie.... it doesn't matter I eat it- I just stick to protein first, then some veggies, then some of the starch if I have room. I do avoid sweets almost all together and that isn'y because I make myself- I just never did care much for em. I may have 1 sf snack a week or some real ice cream once a month if that. The granola bars are like a dessert treat for me. I also do the mini bags of chips maybe once or twice a week as a snack. Sorry if this is more than you wanted to know. I am still losing. It's slowed down to about 8 lbs a month the last 2 months and I have about 30 to go til goal. I also exercise at least 2 times a week. Shawna 360/222/190

Hi Christy I guess the amount of what I eat depends on what it is. My favorite breakfast is LF cottage cheese, SF jello and mandarin oranges. At about 4 months post op I was eating 1/2 of each of the 4 oz. containers. I can now eat the full 4 oz. containers of each. When it comes to more dense protein like, poultry, beef, and fish very little fills me up. For example, I do well to eat 2 charbroiled shrimp at a meal. I still cannot tolerate breads. My caloric intake is around 700-800/day. I hope to go on a medical mission trip in January and I'm beginning to think about what I can take with me that will keep and is high protein. My diet now is a lot of protein from dairy. Anyway, I don't know if I've helped. Good luck in your schooling and continued journey toward your weight loss goals. GB LuvitsunnyV@goal
