I flip thru the channels and every now and then I stop and watch the SWAN. You know where they do the make over and the pageant. It bugs me that these women wine about the hard work it takes to achieve their goal/dream. I would love to have FREE plastics like I am sure most of us would. It just kinds bugs me...ya know? Staci, The show was about a woman who weighed 550 lbs. Oprah followed her for 10 years. After 9/11 she could not get out to the stores. She lived in the area of the Towers. Once she could not shop she decided to have WLS. She was a prisoner in her own home. She lost 300lbs and had many surgeries to cut away all the fat that was hanging. As soon as she was able to get on a plane she came to the show. She addressed alot of issues. She could not recognize and begin to love the NEW GIRL.That sounds like me.She did not see her family for the fear of when they hugged her they would feel all the fat she had.The show was amazing, she discussed her constant battle to not go back to the old habits. Shawna, I just looked at your profile. You have done a great job.Can you believe our 1 year anniversary is coming? If we lived near each other we could and I guess we can all do it for each other even though we are far apart. Hello all! Obesity Help FINALLY updated my profile and added me to the before and after gallery!!! I am not at goal yet, but I figure -142 lbs is significant enough for a before and after. I haven't been around as much because school is keeping me busy and I have still had some medical problems. My surgeon feels that it is scar tissue and I must have an exploratory. I'm trying to wait it out until winter break so I have enough time to recover. I can eat about 6-8 oz at a time now and I dont nec. "watch" what I eat. I still do protien first, but I dont deprive myself of carbs. I also avoid sweets. i dont get sick as often as I used to so thats good. My weightloss is at about 6-8 lbs a month so it is finally slowing down- which is good since goal is 30 lbs away. Other than that I'm doing pretty well and I am still happy with my results. It has been a tough ride but I still do not regret it. HUGS TO YOU ALL!!!!! Shawna
