Topic: My Angels are out for XMAS.
Hi there to my friends on this board.
As you guys know I am still out of wor****il Nov 22nd. I am so bored, I must be feeling good again. My stomach is a bit sore, but I am ok.
Well as you guys know from Dianes posting......
are my favorite pastime. I collect them and have the most prettiest
put away that I bring out for XMAS. I started to unwrap them to put them out.Normally I would start this in December, but I am so bored.
I felt such solace in my heart as I unwrapped them and put them up
They just give me such inner peace .
Anyway.... I started to think about all I have been through in the past few months. I have been in the hospital a total of 4 times including my WLS. I am so thankful I am OK and here for the holidays. I am happpy about my weight loss. I looked at a picture of me last year and WOW what a difference. "NO MORE INSULIN." "NO MORE NEUROPATHY PAIN" "NO MORE MEDICATION" and also "NO MORE DIZZINESS" from the high blood sugars.
I am so looking forward to the holidays and enjoying looking at my beautiful
I have collected. By the way. I bought 2 more today. Talk about addictive personallity
Have a great day guys.....Lorraine....( May peace be with all of you?)

Well folks, it's not good. I have to see a surgeon as soon as possible. Best case, removal of affected areas. Plural. More than one. Several. Worst case, mastectomy. I want to go home and hug my DH.

Topic: RE: Stuck at 160 lbs. after 11 months....ADVICE??????
I totally understand! I am also at 160. I'll fluctuate under for a couple of days and then back to 160 again. I actually saw a plastic surgeon a couple weeks ago and he told me that I don't really need to lose any more weight, but if I just "want" to be smaller, I could lose another 10 pounds max. That made me feel better because I really couldn't get a grip on how much was skin, fat, etc. He said I have about 15 lbs of skin in the abdominal/hips/butt region alone. So, I figure if I lost to 150 and then had the 15 pounds of skin in that region removed, I'd be at 135. I've also heard that you can lose pretty easy after having a tummy tuck because you just don't want to eat for a while. I'm 5' 3 or 5'4...depending on who is measuring, so 135 would be ideal to me.

Allison,
Hi there.
Well my answer to you about your friend is.... You will find people like this all the time. Some people don't think before they speak. They just don't understand that sometimes they say things to hurt peoples feelings. I deal with this everyday. I am now down-112 pds. I am at "GOAL" People that can't say something nice are always saying things to me to hurt my feelings. If you are too thin, too fat, in their minds they think they can voice it in awful ways. When I was heavy my brother in law called me Ralphie boy from the honeymooners. He said I looked like Jackie Gleason. Now he calls me Anorexic.
See you can't satisfy everyone.
You are doing great. I personally don't think your weight loss is over with. It has not been 1 year yet.Give yourself a chance OK? Lets get ready for our anniversary. Lets
and
to our sucesses ok

Oh Hon, I know what you mean. But look carefully at yourself. 90lbs lighter. That's a lot. A whole lot. And exercise? You are exercising me under the table. That's great. How do you feel, health wise? How many sizes are you down? Can you do more than you could a year ago? I'll bet you can. I would bet you can do so much that sometimes you just can't believe it that you can do what you do. I know that being stuck at this weight is so frustrating that you just want to cry. I'm in the same boat. My PCP says the same, that she thinks I'm done loosing. That my metabolism just won't let me loose any more. But she pointed out just how far I've come and to be proud of what I've done for myself. So you be proud, too. You did a hard thing, having this surgery. And you are doing fantastic. Be healthy. That's what is important right now. Enjoy who you are and how far you've come. We are all proud of you.
