Topic: RE: Celebrating 11 months out........
When I think back to how I was a year ago....boy, am I glad I decided to go this route. What a difference in my life. I am so much happier and healthier. I have my appointment with the surgeon on the 24th and he will decide whether it's to be minor or major surgery, but whatever the outcome, I am healithier now. Having less fat in the breast area has made it so much easier to see the areas effected, so says the radiologist and my PCP. So, they found whatever it is, very easily and early. I am so grateful to the doctors and nurses who helped me through the bypass decision and am so glad I did it and would do it again, in a heartbeat.

Happy anniversary Ruthanna! What a great perspective and attitude you have! I thrilled to read that this surgery has been successful for you in not only losing the weight but giving you such a healthy and happier life. I so remember the anxiety and fears as well and like you, have a very thankful heart for everything that has happened over the past 11 months. Take care, and enjoy your special day. Congrats also for reaching goal so soon; I can't wait to get there too!

I wake up every morning with a thankful heart. I remember really well the anxiety and fears that I had this time a year ago. I was afraid of my deteriating health and also fearful of the surgery that I hoped would help the situation. Today, I am actually below my goal weight and have a BMI of 20; I am prescription RX free; my labs and BP all normal. Yes, I wake up every morning with a thankful heart!

I think we have to remember than as much as we love our surgeons they are not God. Mine also told me at my 6 month that I wuold maybe lsoe another 20...I have lost 45. I am done 146. So don't let them be your total guide.
That is weird obut your friend. I have people tell me every day I should be done losing..Interesting thing is they are usually now bigger than me. I know it is probalby close to over but I want to lsoe every ounce I can.
I think there might be some validity in the calorie thing though

You probably want to call your surgeon. I have had burnign all along. some of it has been strictures and he did treat me for H pylori which helped the msot. However it has crept back. Now he has me taking prilosec.

I"ve been experiencing that too, but mostly when I eat red meat. So I don't eat red meat, or very rarely.

Happy "early" anniversary - you still have 2 more days left to lose more weight until your "official" 11 month anniversary!! Anyway, you've done a great job, congratulations. You must be so very pleased with your results so far. Good luck in the coming month. Your pictures look great too.
