Topic: Anyone Exp. Lower back or Kidney Problems ???
I've been having lower back problems and i'm concerned that it may be my kidney's. A few weeks ago I had a bladder infection. I'm trying to increase my water to see if this is the problem. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or is currently. Any suggestions ??

Being one of Jehovah's Witnesses, we don't celebrate holidays so I've omitted those questions and answering the ones I can. 7) Have you come up with some good healthy recipes you can pass along to us? I got one for pork tenderloin and mangos if anyone is interested. 8) Do any of you guys drink alcohol occasionally? What do you drink? An occasional glass of wine, preferably red, like Barefoot Reserve or Eagles Landing Merlot. Or a good chardonnay. Nona

Hi Joan. Sorry to hear about the hernia but what a great excuse to get a tummy tuck done at the same time! Call your insurance about the tummy tuck. I think you probably have to show it's medically necessary but each insurance is different. Good luck. Dealing with insurance is never easy especially with plastic surgery. It's common for folks to stall at this stage. Your body has had a busy year and it's playing catch-up. AVOID THOSE SWEETS! I know it's hard especially with the holidays coming on but remember where you've been and how far you've come. Just ask yourself before you start stress eating - is this food pouch worthy? Do I really need this? 9/10 times it's NO. Just try to move on and drink some water. The food demons never ever die and in fact get more viscious the farther you are out. Remember we are human and will not always make the healthiest food choices - but that's okay (as long as it doesn't become a habit!). Exercise is very good - consider changing your exercise routine a bit to shake things up - trick your body! This may help kick start your weight. Also remember to keep your calories at a reasonable level and drink lots of water. Just my advice. Good luck, and I hope things begin moving for you again. Kim 347/168

Well here it goes.... 1) As your anniversary of your WLS approaches, are you getting excited as you look back at before and after? I am excited for each and every day.I know if not for wls I would be dead. 2) Was this surgery all you anticipated, or are you a bit disappointed in your decision? It is everything and a bag of chips. 3) Do you look back often at this time last year? Yes and it makes me sad to think about everything I was missing 4)Do you have any comments you would like to make? Have a great day guys. Enjoy life and be heathly which is the most important. Lorraine 1)As your anniversary of your WLS approaches, are you getting excited as you look back at before and after? As my aniversary approaches I am getting so excited, Just knowing I will be able to and enjoy the holidays more makes me excited. I look at my before and wonder why did I wait so long? 2) Was this surgery all you anticipated, or are you a bit disappointed in your decision? I am not disappointed in my decision, just that I waited so long. It is never too late to enjoy life now though. 3) Do you look back often at this time last year? I do look back at this time last year. My surgery was supposed to be on Nov 17th and I was denied. I was so nervous fighting with the insurance company I would up taking tranquiliters from anxiety. I knew I had to keep fighting. I think about at this time I was getting all my liquids in the house for my upcoming surgery. 4)Do you have any comments you would like to make? Yes I do have some comments I would love to make. To anyone contemplating this surgery I would recommend it highly. Yes I was nervous, and I was alot, but I knew I was making the right decision.

Topic: Hi Everyone
Things are going well, although I found out I have an incisional hernia that I will need to have repaired. I am hoping to get a tummy tuck at the same time if possible. Anyone on HMO Blue that had a tummy tuck covered by insurance? I have sort of stalled out on losing, but I am just continuing to excercise. I have been eating more sweet things lately which may be what the problem is, stress snacking. Food demons never die. All advice is much appreciated.
