You have done VERY VERY WELL and should extremely proud of yourself. You weigh 195.5 - how awesome is that!?!?!?! A total loss of 197.5 is amazing, simply amazing. I am so happy for you.

Oh, what a year it's been too! I started school, got a new job/s, and suffered through my husbands job loss. The only difference is....oh about 200 lbs. of weight. !!!!
I started my journey at 393 lbs. in Nov.02. I had my surgery one year ago today at 336 lbs. I woke up and weighed in this morning at 195.5 lbs. !! for a total loss of an amazing 140.5 lbs. since surgery and a whopping 197.5 lbs. from my highest weight!
I could not feel more positive, confident, and completely elated about how much my quality of life has changed. I am still getting to know the new me, but am feeling more and more comfortable with myself as time passes.
I cannot express enough how much my wls family here means to me. I am truly grateful for all your support, love, prayers (when needed), and unconditional friendship.

Hello my December friends-
Happy Anniversary to us all. Today, Dec 10th is my one year! I want to say so much but am sitting here, at work, with tears in my eyes.
First, its been so long since I've done any posting or any reading. I changed jobs, same company, new position. Something I know I wouldn't or couldn't have done a year ago. I've been so busy training and learning, just no time for the computer at night. So, please forgive me.
My life has changed so much, I still can't believe it. I am amazed at myself and so proud. As, we should all be proud. We tend to compare ourselves to much to others and it can be a motivator but also can be discouraging. So, if you are reading this thinking about surgery, try to make it your motivator.
I look in the mirror today and I am 1/2 the person I was a year ago. I've lost 160 lbs!!! I was wearing a size 34 and I now wear a size 16 or 18. I'm just about into a Misses' size and ready to say so-long to PLUS SIZE!! My shoe size was a 10-10 1/2 Wide and is now an 8 1/2. I were pants with no elastic and LEVI'S!!
I am grateful to everyone who saw me at my worst time in my life- my family and friends who stood by me through my most morbidly obese time and those who have been my cheerleaders and those who held my hand when I felt like I had been hit by a mack truck!
So, God Bless all of you! Its been the best year of my life with even better things to come!!

You look wonderful, Katie! Aren't new pictures wonderful. I never would have guessed how much I could like having my picture taken. I guess I just have a few years of vanity to make up for.

I suddenly started losing again a few weeks ago, too. The only thing I did was go on vacation and not really pay attention to what I was eating. Weird, huh?

I am posting because I finally have new pics,
and part of the reason Why I did not post before, is I could not stand looking at that old pic
... But new ones have arrived.... You can see me in the before and afters I think on the date 12/5 and my profile has a close up.... I'm not sue why my before and after pic was not added to my site.... Not 1 yr yet....

We are all winners in this journey!! I am sooo proud to tell anyone that asks how I lost my weight (except my in law relatives) --total strangers even!!! I got my driver license renewed last weekend and the lady commented how I had lost weight...I had to tell her how many pounds and what I did!!!
I am tickled to bits about this whole process.

Only about 9 lbs to go......but hey if it keeps coming off... I won't complain for now! OR until I reach the low 120's.
Not sure why all of the sudden it has just been coming off--I have been eating WORSE actually.
I did add coffee around mid month November otherwise---haven't made any nutritional changes.
My hubby gave me an early Bday present-- Philips Senseo Coffee Pod maker!! I love it!!! I am the ONLY coffee drinker in the house and usually only want 1-2 cups so brewing a POT isn't worth it for me. I have been very happy with the machine so far!
