Diane, Congrads to you girl. I have not been on, I am kind of busy with this XMAS thingy. I am so proud of you girl. It is an amazing weight loss and a great journey you have made. I am so proud to be part of your WLS family.I bought an to hang on the mirror of my car and I thought of you. As time passes we will get used to the new us. I see her now. As my year anniversary approaches, I am just in awe of how my life has changed. I feel so gooood in my own skin.....finally, after so many years of just the opposite. Today, I was rushing around getting ready for school (I substitute teach) and it was "jeans day." I said, "I could desperately use a belt to hold up these jeans and I can't find mine." My 13-yr-old son, said that he had one. I said, "I need one that fits ME, not you!" He said, "Oh, mom mine will fit you." I said I didn't think so but I'd try it anyway. Well, it fit and I had to cinch up about 5" of it! I think he's just lost a belt, cuz I like this one! LOL! I really was in shock cuz he's just a normal sized teen-age kid....and HIS BELT FIT ME!!! I will be having a hysterectomy on Friday, the day before my year anniversary. I hate that I will feel crummy on that day but I guess that will mimic how I felt last year at the same time. BUT I feel wonderful now. I also hate that I won't be able to update my profile on the exact day but I will do it on the 16th before I go in. I'd been so discouraged....I was on strong hormones to control my periods prior to this upcoming surgery.....well, it really messed up my weight loss.....I GAINED 6 lbs in about 6 weeks. Well, I went off of them about 10 days ago and immediately dropped those 6 lbs and then 3 more. I HATE those stupid hormones!! I sure hope I don't have to take very strong ones after the surgery. I'm going to try not to. My doc (a lady) is great and knows I want to keep it at a minimum. Well, I'll update for my year on Thursday. I have some VERY busy days coming up so probably won't get a lot of time on the boards but will try to be on more while I'm recovering. Hope to see you all a lot in late Dec. and Jan while I'm "gettin' better." I should have a new pic up soon. The one that shows now is from the day I hit -100 so I've lost another 26 since then. Hello my Decemberite friends and happy anniversary/rebirthday to all those 12/10ers!!! We made it and what a job we have done. I just wanted to tell all my friends here on this board how much I have enjoyed being a part of your lives and how much I appreciate the support, advice, and encouragement you all give. You are all It means the world to me and I am so glad I found this site and board. I started on this journey weighing in at 253 at 5'11" and in a size 22/24 pants and a 2x shirt. Currently I am in misses 4s and 6s and juniors 7 pants and a small or medium shirt. I never dreamed I would get this small, even though sometimes when I look in the mirror, all I see is my flabby belly and think UCKKK!!! but then I go dig out my presurgery photos and astonish myself. How disgusting I looked then compared to now. This has been hard work and I still have work to do. I still want to go down at least 10 more pounds. To celebrate, my DH and I have gotten 3 different babysitters for the kids and are heading to New Orleans to get away , look around and maybe plan to relocate. I think I may just go out and buy me a new outfit also. Have a good weekend everybody! Staci
