Hi there Susie, Congradulations to you on your amazing weight loss. I am so proud of you. I had my surgery on 12/15/03. I started my journey at 245 lbs and now I am -113 pds. I am now weighing 132 pds and feel wonderful. I am 5ft6 and slim and trim. Maintaining it is what I am doing now. I am at "Goal" I am not really thinking of any PS at this time.

Congrats toyou on your weight loss.I had wls on dec 1 2003 and I have lost 225+ lbs.I feel so blessed and I thank God every day for a second chance at life.Latly I have been back sliding and I am now getting back on track.This surgery is a tool and as with any tool it is as only as good as the person working it.You can give a monkey a hammer and in the end it's still a monkey with a hammer.Life is good and I am learning to fit in with the "normal size people" whatever that means.So to sum up,I am so happy for all of us and good luck and happy holidays to all of you....steve c

Happy anniversary surgery buddy. Good luck with insurance. I don't have enough excess skin for insurance approval (amazing after losing 189 lbs!) however enough skin where it bothers me. I guess the exercise really helped with the excess skin. I'll be self-pay for everything and it will be worth every penny! Enjoy your day!

So amazing to see the change in myself over the last year. As of today I am down -122 pounds and pretty much where I need to be per doctor. I am still losing so we will see where I finally stop at. I am down to a size 4/6 which is amazing....last year at this time you would have had a 2 infront of the 4/6...LOL :

Hi Jen,
I know after my hysterectomy, I felt great. It was the best thing for me. I did have one ovary left, so I didn't need to have homone replacement therapy. Hope you don't have to take them for long. Look into natural ones, if you can. Less side effects.

Today is the day and I have lost a total of 189 lbs since surgery. I weigh 158 lbs, have a NORMAL BMI and am the happiest girl alive!! Losing 189 lbs has far exceeded my expectations and I am extremely pleased.
I now start the next phase of this glorious journey - plastic surgery. I have met with a few plastic surgeons and will meet with one more at the end of this week and then make a decision. During the course of the year, I will have a LBL, thigh lift, arm lift and breast lift/augmentation. I am told that I will lose 8-10 pounds of skin/fat from my LBL.
Hope you all are doing great - seeing the one-year totals come in are amazing. You all have done extremely well. Keep up the great work.
