I feel like I'm weird or something! I have no interest or desire for plastics but so many others that had similar surgery dates are either planning or wanting to plan for them. Maybe I'm in complete denial or maybe after years of not caring too much how I looked, I just don't see it now....but I don't really see that I need plastics. My boobs sag without a bra..just like they did before surgery, though they just aren't as heavy. I don't have much excess on my tummy at all. At certain times, I see some not-so-lovely skin on my theighs and upper arms, but these areas are generally covered up. Maybe it is because I went into this knowing I wasn't going to be tiny as I'm not built tiny in any way, shape, or form! I don't have "shorts legs" or a bathing suit body no matter how much I loose or tighten up (I have very very large bones in my ankles and calves and just don't look good with them exposed). I think I look pretty good in clothes but don't think I'd expose many people to me without them, even if I did get firmed up! I'm honestly wondering if I'm really strange for not even wanting plastics. Is there anyone else like me? Who's lost about the same amount (127)? Not that I feel I need to be like "everyone" else but just wondered if I have any company on this?? LOL! Jenni

Congratulations on your dates, Kim!! I am scheduled for March 22, 2005...Oh, My Gosh, just 89 days away February will be here before you know it and you will get those last few lbs off. I am so excited. My plastic surgeon's office called today and moved my lower body lift to February 17 (from March 31). We're talking 8 weeks to a flat tummy and good bye to the excess skin. On April 6 I will have an arm lift and breast augmentation and on May 18 I will have a thigh lift. What an exciting and painful first half of 2005 it will be for me! I really can't beleive it's been a year already. I have lost 116 lbs and still have 27 to go. I will make it. I have my one check up on January 4th and will talk to my Dr about seeing a PS and finding out what insurance will pay for. I worry since they have new criteria just to have WLS that they will give me a hard time trying to have recontructive surgery. I am a tad depressed about what I see in the stomach area. It looks awful and what I see when I sit down looks like I never lost any weight. I need to get rid of all this skin that is on my stomach. I will be fine. I put on my ignore a lot when it comes to that area and just wear what I want to wear and what I am comfortable in. I an feeling good about what I have lost. I feel great and have a job now. I looked for over a year before surgery and no one would hire, they don't discriminate my butt! After I lost over 100 lbs I finally got a job at Sears. I had never applied there so I can't include them in my previous searches. I am on my feet for 6 hours or more and I have no problems except for some achy bones by the time I get home.
