Happy New Year Lorraine!! Well, I would just love that my "girls" were back where they used to be or where they belong!! I went from a 54DD to a nice(in the bra) 38C. Being I've never had kids, I'm going to hate to see them after a few months of breastfeeding!! Oh, geez, what a topic!! Anyway, I can relate. I've bought all my undergarments at WalMart- refusing to spend any large amounts of money on this stuff. I think I may treat myself soon to a nice bra and panties! About 6 months after surgery, my husband, lovingly said to me one evening "Would you please go by yourself some new underwear!! You've lost 100lbs, you cannot wear the same underwear you wore 100lbs ago!" It is funny and I have to laugh at it, for my own sanity. Between "the girls" and the skin, to me, its a constant reminder of what I've been thru and a road I never want to go down again! Take care, Kathy

Hello Lorraine I hear ya about the boobies. I have been "busty" since 3rd grade and when I had WLS I would squeeze into a 44DDD, have no idea what size I really should have been in Now I wear a 34-36C, which is a nice size, but most of it is excess skin. My poor breasts hang strait down to my belly button. I am scheduled for a breat lift on March 22nd, but have decided to have another consult with my PS in February to talk about implants. When I first saw him 25lbs ago I thought I'd get good results from a lift alone, but these last lbs have gone right from my chest and there might be a B cup left if I am lucky. I have decided not to buy any new bras till after PS. Then I will be joining you at Victoria's to get some really pretty sets. "HANG" in there....I'm right there with you. Kimberly

Hi there Diane, Thank you for your angel quote. I went to Mystic Seaport in Conneticut. There is an angel store there. I could not believe all the beautiful angels they had there. If you ever go drop by that store. Lorraine

I had breast reduction in 1996. I was 34DDD before that surgery and afterwards a nice 36 D. A year after WLS I am now in a padded 32 B or C. I simply look at it this way, if I hadn't had the breast reduction my boobs would be below my belly button right now. I doubt if I would ever consider breast implants but that doesn't make me miss "the girls" any less. LuvitsunnyV@goal

Have I got a boob story for you! In 2000 I had a breast reduction. I had 2 1/2 lbs taken off each breast. I went from a 42DDD to a 40D. I then gained 80 lbs and "grew" my breasts back. Then I had WLS.. I have now gone from a 40D to a 36B.. Basically hanging skin sacs. I think I am the only person to have breast reduction and then within 4 years now I want implants!

How is everyone elses breasts? What a question to ask. Answering will be up to you. Am I the only one that has this problem? I know from whence you speak, my friend. Before, I was just a 'C'. Now, I'm barely a 'B'. When I had my biopsy, you lay stomach down on the table while the affected breast drops through the hole in the table. Lord, I looked down and thought, 'Good God, it looks just like a Ball Park hot dog, dangling there.' Talk about loosing it? Whew, I'm just glad Joe isn't a breast man. He likes the 'bootie'. Mine is firm and small, now. But no boobs. Fair trade off? I go to Fredericks of Hollywood and get their Liquid bra collection. Pricy, but oh so comfortable and smooth under anything. Nona

Lorraine - I went from a 44DD to a 34B (I'm only a B because of the excess skin). After my breast lift I will be an A cup which is why I decided to get implants which will put me at a C cup. I'll be having this done in April after my lower body lift. I have nothing left on top. You are not alone! When you are ready for implants, please see Dr. Joe Capella in New Jersey. He is great, and his prices are very reasonable. It might be a drive but it's worth it.

Hi Shannon. Unfortunately I am completely self pay as my insurance will not pay. (1) not enough excess skin even after losing 190 lbs and (2) I selected a doctor who is not within my plan. The reason for the 3 surgeries is that you cannot combine a LBL with a thigh, arm and breast lifts because your skin is being pulled in all directions and you will get a better result if you heal between surgeries to see how the skin ends up. The thighs may end up better after the LBL so less work may be needed with the inner thigh lift. In fact a lot of people don't need a thigh lift after a LBL because they are pulled so tight. I know I will need one because I have a lot of skin around my knees. The breasts may end up worse after the LBL because the skin is being pulled down. Every doctor does things differently but all the doctors I've been to definitely recommend separate surgeries for the best results. It's difficult to combine the arms with the LBL because you need the support of your arms while you are healing from the LBL. I will be hurting, a lot, but hopefully it will all be worth it. I'm excited for a flat tummy and thinner thighs! Take care.
