I was wondering what everyone was eating today.. I'm looking for some variety and just curious..
I had a follow up visist with my surgeon today and was surprised to find that my cholesterol is at 238 
I'm wondering if I'm eating too much cheese..

It's amazing the small things that we appreciate after WLS. I'm glad you had a good time at the FL resorts. My hat is off to you riding all those rollercoasters.............it's more than weight that has kept me off of 'em.

Hi there Elaine, I am so happy you had a great time. LIfe is so wonderful for me also. I can walk much better without the pain of my weight and the pain I had with diabetic nueropathy. I too appreciate what WLS has done for me.
Enjoy life and the wonderful things we can do now. The rollercoaster ride must have been awesome. I am just enjoying being able to sit at the movies comfortable, with my legs crossed.

Hi Everyone
Flew in from Fla. last night.. brrrrr, it's cold here..
Anyhow, we spent a week at Universal Studios/Seaworld and i'm so very happy to say that i rode 5 ROLLERCOASTERS !!! Including the kiddie ones with my little guy and didn't worry once about fitting .
Our last vaca. in Orlando was tough.. It was so much easier not lugging around my extra 100 or so lbs.. I really appreciated what WLS has done for me this past week..

Busy weekend plans, here. Saturday I need to get my horse ready for a show on Sunday. He's gray, and takes great pleasure in rolling in green manure, or anything else that will make him dirty. So, between getting him looking gorgeous and riding him enough to take the edge off, my Saturday is pretty much spoken for.
Sunday, while I have a teenager putting Teddy through his paces, I will be off at the club competing in an indoor triathlon. It's pretty low-key: a 10 minute swim, 20 minute stationary bike, and 15 minute run, but that's enough for me. I picked up my packet today, and just love the t-shirt. It says "ATHLETE" on the back. Cool, I'm an athlete!
When I'm done with the tri, I'll be heading back to the barn to check on Kristin and Teddy- see how they did and spoil him for being the good horse I know he will be. Then I think I'll go home and recuperate.
And, I am another one of the "cheap dates." At a much delayed christmas party last night, I was getting happy on half a white russian, and by the end of my second... Well, at least I wasn't driving.

Well, things look a little better. Diana has a small amount of sensation in her legs when she moves from the bed to her chair. It's not alot, but it's a beginning. They are sure she won't be able to walk the mall, but she may get around in a chair just fine. She has bowel and bladder control, which is wonderful. A local radio station is going to try to get them some help in making the house wheel chair accessible. We were going to try to get her a motorized chair by asking my boss for a raise, but I got turned down. The economy. It was worth a shot. I am down 108 lbs as of today. Can't understand how I'm loosing anything, with not eating right and not exercising at all, but I'll take it.
