Maria, I am happy to see that i am not alone, and i hope you are relieved too. I have only lost about 10 pounds over the last 4 mts or so, but i also know that it is my own fault. What i am doing is recommitting myself to a healthier lifesytle. No carbs, LOTS of protein, and lots of SF liquids. I am just this week starting to keep track of what i eat and am going to call this week for an appt with the nutritionist at the Dr's office. I also figured out how to eat the junk food. I know what my tummy can and cant take. The only thing i seem to dump on is yogurt and anything with more than a touch of sugar. Some days all it takes it to accidentally get regular instead of decaff and its off to the races!!LOL. I also have been tryin to remember to take my vitamins and medication. Also try to get a little more exercise in each day..even a little bit is good and is so wonderful for your mood! Anytime you want to talk, feel free to email me

Topic: Help!!!
I have lost 140 pounds but still have about 50 to go. I am scared. I have not lost any more weight in the last 4 months. I have figured out how to eat the junk and very rarely do I dump on the junk food. I have discovered a food addiction that I wasn't aware of prior to the surgery but now how do I get off this plateau? I am trying to eat healthy and take my vits but sometimes the junk just looks so much better! I need some suggestions desperately.

Hi Sommer Congratulations on your upcoming PS!!! It really is the "iceing on the cake" so to speak Last Tuesday I had a lower body lift. I am cut low in the front just like a regular tummy tuck then all the way around my back side. My abdominal muscels were stitched together, the mons area was lifted and I got a full outer hip, thigh and butt lift. My belly is still swollen but my butt looks fantastic and DH thinks the mons lift alone was worth the $$$$$ I have two drains located at the top on my pubic area. They do not hurt at all, I just have to be careful with them as I am afraid of pulling on them. I have very little drainage and empty them (about 20cc) twice a day. They will be taken out on Friday 4-1. On June 1st I will be getting a breast lift with silicone implants. Can't wait for the new boobies too We have 4 kidos. 17, 12, 4 and 2. I was really worried about my little guy as he is a Momma's Boy and likes to be picked up and held. My surgery was outpatient, but in Bellevue which is 3.5 hours away so DH and I stayed with his sister in Seattle for the 1st 3 days. I missed my kids soo much, but I was kind-of out of it those first few days that it would not have mattered if I were here or not. When we got home i showed my 4 and 2 year old my belly and let them know that Mommy had an owie and they had to be very careful not to jump or climb on me. When Carson, my 2 year old, asked to be held I sit down and have him climb up next to me or I tell him that I will hold his hand if he wants to go somewhere. So far it has worked out well. My 4 year old daughter is very much a girly-girl and goes out of her way to pick things up for me or get me something. I have taken before and after pics. I will have to see if DH will help me get them loaded. *I am very computer/electronics challenged* If I can get them on I would be happy to share them with you. All the best of luck to you. You will do well and be sooo happy when it is all over~Kimberly

Congrats on the plastics. I soon will be where your at. I'm scheduled for May 25 and i'm so excited. What all did you have done? And how are the drains? I'm dreading to deal with that. Also do you have any small children? I'm asking because i have some and want to know how they are dealing with it, if you have any? Thanks, and good luck. Have you taken any pics? I'd love to see if you are willing to share. Sommer

Hello Everyone Well....I did it!! I am 6 days post LBL and doing much better than I had imagined. My PS is just amazing and my new belly is going to be fantastic once the swelling has gone down. The pain is not too bad. I just stay on top of it with pain meds. The hardest part is finding a comfortable place to lay down. My drians come out on the 1st and stitches on the 8th. I am having a hard time eating as I am so tight that I feel full on very little, then miserable for a bit. Also taking MOM as the pain meds cause me to be constipated. Anyone else have PS scheduled soon? My best advice...find the best PS that you can and one that you believe in 100%. Time for a nap Kimberly

Try Subbing Triscuits for the Saltines and whole wheat for white. But the best way to get away from them is go on a liquid diet for two days. It's hard, believe me, at this point. But once you do, then you don't crave them. I limit my carbs to oatmeal, low carb tortillas, part of a sweet potato, whole grain bread, or pretzel. And never past 2pm. That gives them time to burn out of my system. I am not losing anything, but not gaining. And for that, I'm grateful. Nona

I'm really thin now, too. I'm 5'5" and weigh 118. I would have never thought I'd have a waist less than 25" I eat good......about 5 times a day. I prefer softs and liquids, too. (I have some small gallstones, so I avoid dense proteins until the doc decides if the GB needs to come out or not). I probably get in about 6 dairy servings a day. I feel great.....labs are good. Hair and skin tone are good. My excess skin is moderate.......I just look terribly skinny. My surgeon said it's possible I could lose even a few more pounds before my 18 month post op time.........I can't imagine. Glad you are doing well. LuvitsunnyV

I'm so glad that I can't eat white bread......two bites of it and I feel like I'm choking.........it doesn't matter how small the bites are. I can eat about a 1/4 of an English Muffin toasted real hard. I've never eaten much salt.......Have you mentioned this craving to your doctor? You know what you have to do........... Be careful..........get back on track. LuvitSunny

Iam craving plain white bread and saltine crackers so much that I am giving in to it and eating it and now I am gaining some weight back. Is there a reason I would be craving the salt and the bread?
