Hello WLS, I haven't posted in a while, I'm 18 months postop and feeling great and look good. I just turn 37 yr old, and I got some great news from the doctor. I'm 14 weeks pregnant, I'm excited about my news, but also little scared because I gain 10 lbs, I know this is normal, but I want the scale to go down. The dr said I should gain about 25-30 lbs during this pregnancy. I was wondering if anyone who has had the WLS, gotten pregnant and gain weight, but could lose it after the birth of the baby. This is will be my first baby, since I have a miscarriage 13 years ago and thought I couldn't get pregnant anymore. I'm not worry about the extra pounds, but I do want a healthy baby. My OB/GYN said that it was safe to have this baby since the surgery, but I have heard that you should wait a couple years before trying to get pregnant. Have super, fantastic and wonderful day!! Hi Lorraine and Allison, I know what you mean about not losing any more, Allison. I haven't lost since August of last year. I need so badly to lose 50 more lbs, but it ain't happening. I've tried everything, but nothing works. So I guess I'm stuck here. Now with the gain, it makes me feel even worse. Lorraine, my PCP tells me that cholesterol is up because we eat a high protein diet. Just eats lots of fiber, she says, and that kind of balances it out. I've had no repercussions from the tooth piece, so it must have passed with no problems. Went for a consult for reconstructive. Doesn't look like the insurance will cover any of it, and it's $20,000.00 if I self pay, so that's out. I am feeling so down. I had three glasses of wine last night and now have a bit of a hangover. I didn't get home until 7 and didn't make my meeting. Should have went late instead of drinking the wine. Nona

Yes, I cracked a tooth on a bone in my ground beef! I didn't swallow it though. I never lose anymore. I only gain 5 around my period. I have been trying to come up with some kind of plan to lose more weight. It doesn't sound like a stupid thing to do though, more like a bad accident.

Hello all what a journey it is. I'm still getting to know the slim lady that looks back at me in the mirror.It all started on Dec.1,2003.There are so many changes in my life no more bottles and bottles of med,s to take so much is now under control.And I wanted to share with you that my daughter has written a book, I hope some of you will go to (www.lofpublishing.com) and take a look at her work the book is (Are You Satisfied Yet ?) We all know the words are you satisfied yet fits so many of us.As I sit here and look at the book I thank God for all the things that we as a family have gone through, and at long last we are coming together and getting closer. I just wanted to share with you what my baby has done, thanks to all of you for your words of kindness and your prayers. And the journey isn't over yet.

Maureen, You have a great time. I have lots of friends from work from Africa. Alot of them are from Guana. We were looking last night at Videos, gospel ones from there. I enjoyed it so much. I can't belive you have such a long vacation. I am SUPERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR JEALOUS. You enjoy and yes flaunt that "BODY". I am now wearing a size 6 from a size 26/28. Life is good. Lots of skin hanging... but who cares. When I wear clothes it looks great,naked ...another story. Hold your sweet head up and enjoy your vacation, even though some of it may be very sad.
