Sandra....I think we all have come to this road. I know that I feel sexy in my clothes but its like when I take them off its....WOW "boy did I fool you!" Its hard to come so far in this journey to be left with the ugly sagging skin of a reminder of what we used to be. I will be having my TT in August b/c my insurance will pay for it...but they wont take care of the sagging breast...they are like flubber! Well, here is my 2 cents worth...if he is a man who truly loves you for who you are then the sagging skin will not matter. Don't take anything less then you deserve b/c you are a beautiful wonderful woman who has come a long way! take care...karie

Glad to here your check up went well! You look WONDERFUL!!!! Keep up the good work and I know what you mean about those crunches....oh I do so love crackers, pretzels and those chips! I don't have a 18 month check up only my 2 year in December. I am counting down the days till my TT in August! I am excited to see how I will look and if it will make a difference in my size of clothes. I started out in a 26 pant and 3x shirts. I am now in a size 3 pant and XS shirts....its so amazing but I am very blessed! Hope you have a wonderful summer and I bet you look like a hottie in those shorts this summer!!!!! Luv, Karie

Nona, Hi there. You also have done wonderful. Try some more water. It works for me. I also have been making Jello sugar free pudding in the evenings so I won't eat those crunchies. Good Luck and Lorraine

It's been, on a whole, good. I'm not happy with my weight, but at least I'm smaller than I was. I was wearing 28-30's and now wear 14-16. My general health is good, and I can do so much more. I did get a big disappointment at the surgeon. He doesn't think my insurance will cover anything, and it'll be 20 grand if I self pay, so that is definitely not going to happen. My weight is still up. I just can't seem to get on track and get it down. It feels like I'm hungry all the time. Maybe I need something else in my diet? Any ideas: Nona

Hi there to all my friends here Well, Today was my big 18 mnth checkup. I did well. The Dr has cut my iron pills to just 3x a week. My cholesterol is a bit high. All my bloodworks are great. I am still weighing between 130-135 pds.Today I weighed 135 lbs. I have maintain this and he says I am at the "IDEAL WEIGHT" Life is great and I am totally enjoying it. Now to maintain and live a good healthy lifestyle . Anyway guys I can't believe that all this time has past. Can we get an update for 18 mnths from you guys? How was your 18 month journey? Has it gone as fast for you as it has for me? Lorraine

Topic: Question re: Pregnancy after WLS
Hello WLS, I haven't posted in a while, I'm 18 months postop and feeling great and look good. I just turn 37 yr old, and I got some great news from the doctor. I'm 14 weeks pregnant, I'm excited about my news, but also little scared because I gain 10 lbs, I know this is normal, but I want the scale to go down. The dr said I should gain about 25-30 lbs during this pregnancy. I was wondering if anyone who has had the WLS, gotten pregnant and gain weight, but could lose it after the birth of the baby. This is will be my first baby, since I have a miscarriage 13 years ago and thought I couldn't get pregnant anymore. I'm not worry about the extra pounds, but I do want a healthy baby. My OB/GYN said that it was safe to have this baby since the surgery, but I have heard that you should wait a couple years before trying to get pregnant. Have super, fantastic and wonderful day!! Before WLS: 383 Current: 255 Goal: 175 Thanks, Theresa Pager email: [email protected] http://www.angelfire.com/md3/divatee2004/
