Topic: RE: Can I ask a question?
I obviously worry about gaining......especially after this weekend. I saw someone I knew had the surgery about 7 years ago and he lost a tremendous amount of weight but now is as big as he ever was. Since I'm still limited on my portions, I just can't imagine how that could happen but seeing is believing.....he has gained all his weight back. I don't believe that WLS fails but certainly our self-discipline can fail. Like my good friend has said our addiction is ever with us and for the rest of our life we will have to control it like any other addict does -- support is so important to our continued success. Blessings to all............ Ruthanna

I am going through the same and it scares me to death. I can't believe how much I can eat. I am trying to go on a liquid diet for two days to see if I can shrink my pouch. I was going to start yesterday, but forgot some of the bullion and teas. So today I start. I can eat a half of a chicken breast, right to the bone, 1/2 cup brown rice or half a red potato, and a half a cup of veggies. Waaayyyyy too much food. It's normal sized meals. I will never lose any weight like this. I'll bet dollars to donuts you don't eat that much at a meal, do you? Not with being as tiny as you are, Lorraine. You've done so great. I know you'll get through this, too. Nona

Lorraine~ I am in the same situation. But what I noticed is that its not all the time. Somedays I can eat a plate full, then theres days I don't want to eat at all. I was thinking that my pouch has grown. I was trying to think of was to make my stomach shrink with out starving myself.

Topic: Can I ask a question?
Hi guys, I am wondering if I am alone in this situation. I seem to get a bit scared when I don't fill up as fast as I used to. I am very aware of the thought of not getting full as fast as I did before.I think is this WLS failing? Does this happen to you? All your input will be great appreciated Lorraine

Glad to hear you and everyone else are doing good.....Keep it up and take care Jesi

Topic: RE: Question re: Pregnancy after WLS
Theresa, congratulations on your pregnancy. What a wonderful gift and surprise! I wish you a safe and successful pregnancy. You should visit the post-op pregnancy forum on this website. Here is the link: http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/amosforums/postop_pregnancy/ Be sure to consult with your surgeon as well and let him know you are expecting. He may want to consult with your OB/GYN. Post-ops less than 18 mos out get pregnant and deliver very healthy babies so no worries about the timing. Good luck! Kim 347/135

Dixie, Congrads to you. I don't have the money to any body work. I would love to do the LBL but I am afraid since the hernia surgery. In September I will fix the veins. They seem to stick out much more since I lost all the weight. Again Happy 18 month Anniversary to you Lorraine

Next week I will be 18 months out. I started at 342# and am down to 180#. I still have 25 to get to my surgeon's goal. Don't know if I'll make it but I'm still losing although slowly. I exercise in some way everyday and stay away as much as possible from foods that are not good for me. I have never dumped so must just use good old will power. On March 1 I had a TT & love my new tiny, tight, tummy. I feel like a 25 year old again & my husband acts like one. In August I'm having another procedure, basically the back half of the LBL. This will lift & tighten my bottom & smooth the outer thighs. I'd love to get the inner thighs fixed but that probably won't be in the near future if at all. I am self paying for everything as I have no rashes or anything else that causes problems. I wear size 12 pants & yesterday bought my first size 8 top. How cool to drop that far from a 4X! Dixie
