Hi Nona Glad to hear the new med is helping ya. Hopefully this works long term.....you deserve to feel good I am doing good, staying busy and trying to keep my head above water. I am all healed up from the plastics (last thing was breast reduction 01/26/06) That was by far my easiest and most rewarding surgery, LOVE the results!!! I was hoping to be done with surgeries for awhile, but that won't be the case I have been having bad stomach pains for months.....my ulcer meds were switched to some pretty strong stuff, but nothing worked. I was referred to a GI specialist and he did an upper endo. I do have an ulcer but nothing serious that should be causing pain (he also noted a nice looking small pouch) So I went for a Gallbladder ultrasound, all was fine.....next was scheduled for a hidascan......and thats when they found that even tho my gall bladder looks good (no stones, not enlarged) it is not functioning and needs to come out. Apparently an inactive gall bladder can cause as much problems as one full of stones, just harder to detect. SO now that is figured out and I meet with a general surgeon next Monday to schedule surgery again I guess it is in and out tho....like surgery at 10am out, after 3pm sorta deal (which is mind blowing, put you to sleep, take out an organ, go home)!!! My plate is pretty full, and sometimes I don't know which way is up.....I wish there was a slow down button, give me time to think and make decisions, ya know!! Like the commercial with the big red EASY buttons, I so want one I was doing really well at getting rid of those 10lbs But have slid with that too.....not sure why I give up on myself so easy, but hate it! That about wraps up what I am up too.....nothing to exciting! Glad to hear your feeling better tho......thank goodness for new meds Anyways......I will come by more and see how everyone is doing. Take Care jesi

Having my GB out was a pretty simple procedure, in and out the same day. Few days later I was right back to normal. Glad I had it done. Mad no stones but the HITA scan showed it was not functioning and out it had to come. Glad I did it. You'll be fine. Nona

Hey Nona.... I'm glad that finally something is helping with your pain. Things are pretty busy with my on-line nursing classes....I never thought I would say that "I spend too much time on the computer"....that's usually my DH's line. I passed the midterm and April 25 is my semester final. I have a week and a half off before the summer semester which is going to be a killer. I have Psych, OB and Peds. (Semesters are usually 16 wks long but the summer semester is only 12 weeks). Oh, well.....at least it's going by fast and December will here in no time.... I've had no problems after the GB surgery on 2/10. I had my post surgery checkup and again, the surgeon was amazed at my fast recuperation...in fact, he said he could barely call it recuperation because I never was really incapacitated. That's good. I'm still maintaining the "below" goal weight of 120-123. My weight has never been this stable. Someone asked me the other day if I had lost more weight and I said, "I pray not".....I never thought I'd have a problem trying NOT to lose. Take care Nona.... luvitsunnyv

I wish so much I had that problem, keeping weight on. But I struggle every day to keep it at 195 and not go up. I am glad you are doing so well after the GB removal. That little organ can cause so much trouble if it goes and one feels so good after it comes out. Nona
