Happy Anniversary/Rebirthday!
Two years ago today I weighed in at 281 pounds. Today I weigh 150 lbs..
I have happily gained 25 lbs in the last 6 months and although I know most of you all are struggling with getting the last 25 lbs off, it is just as frustrating needing to gain as it is to loose. I am almost 6' tall and I continued to loose weight after I reached my goal of 170 lbs. I have battled an ulcer for almost a year (finally it is healed) and I had to have my gallbladder removed 6 months ago. Since the gallbladder surgery, I have gained weight steadily. I really was very scared that I would be sick the rest of my life. Neither issue can I attribute to the WLS, but it didn't help matters any.
It is eye opening to be on the other side (too skinny). I found that I was so much more self conscious than I ever was being overweight and I truly feel bad for all the times I made comments when I heard underweight people complaining about being too thin. I wish I could find all those people and apologize.
Would I do it again? IN A HEARTBEAT.. I just would bring my health issues to the attention of my doctors ASAP. If something hurts, there is a reason. If you can't keep food down, there is a reason. If you have no energy, there is a reason.
Thank you Dr Procter, Dr Richard, Dr Clark, and Dr Ritter for fixing my ailments and making me love my new life again. Specifically, thank you for helping me gain weight. Now that I "look better" people have stopped looking at me like I was terminally ill. I know everyone meant well, but it sure was getting old!!
Laura, Happy Anniversary to you!!!! Wow 2 years today for you. You have done wonderful. to you. Please stay well and keep saying HI to us on here! Looking forward to hearing from you again.

Laura, Happy Anniversary/Rebirthday.
I can totally relate to everything you said. This time last year at my 1 yr anniversary I weighed 114. At 5'5" I looked anorexic. I was scared. Thankfully, I have managed to gain 5 pounds over the past year and hover at the bottom end of a healthy BMI. Just like you, I never imagined "gaining" weight to ever be an issue for me.
I feel great and will celebrate 2 years post op tomorrow....my anniversary/rebirthday 12/15.
Again, congratulations on all that you have accomplished.
