Ok Everyone! Time for a roll call. Let's see how we are doing. The board is very quiet, so let's make it active. How's your weight? Up, Down, or Steady? Any eating issues? Plans for the new year? Let's hear from everyone!! COME ON! POST!!!! Nona I'll go first. My weight is up. No exercise due to the surgery and now a FM flare. Food issues? You betcha. I eat way too much, and all day long, it seems. New year plans? To finish school, I hope, or at least get another year of it done. Next?

Dear Nona, My weight is down and FINALLY!!! I have made the first goal... to be overweight instead of obese. I now weigh 145 lbs. I am still being very careful because of course, I am trying to get to normal weight. Food Issues...That is a hard question. When I get sad, I want to eat, but I have been very happy lately so it has been easier for me. I would like to get plastics for the New Year, but I am not even looking into it unless I do get to a normal weight. I had a scare on Friday. Lizzie (and Jaime) gave blood at school, and Lizzie turned blue and had convulsions and passed out and scared all the nurses from the Red Cross. My brother is a PA and he said it was a vaso-something reaction and that nothing is wrong with her, but she better not give blood again. She was so scared herself that neither one of us could sleep for a few nights. Hope today finds everyone well and happy. Allison

Allison, How scary for you and your child.!!! Being a Witness, I don't donate or take blood, so I have never had the issue, but how frightening it must have been for both of you. Is she all right now? Poor little tyke. I am so happy for you on your weight. I will never get there. I will be happy if I can get the 10lbs off that I have gained over the last two months. I know it will be a struggle, but I am confident I can do it if I just try. How much more do you want to lose? How tall are you? I'm 5'5" and my Plastic surgeon says 175 is low enough for a normal size for me. Nona

Dear Nona, Lizzie is 17 and she was very embarrassed because she screamed (when she was unconscious) and kicked and a lot of people saw her. She also couldn't move her arms and legs and her fingers and toes and lips and nose all tingled when she came to. She didn't sleep well because whenever she woke up a little bit, she felt that fear and she wanted to be by me and I couldn't sleep either, checking her breathing and everything... but she was fine and all is well now. I am only 5' tall. I JUST made overweight. I have been obese all this time. I use the BMI chart to determine normal. I have along way to go to get there. I want to wear a normal pair of jeans. I am bottom heavy... my legs and butt are huge. Flat chested =P my waist is good. You look great! I always think that. I read that plastics web site now and it seems a lot of people gain weight after ps because they swell for about a year. You probably haven't gained anything other then water weight. Thank you for caring as you always do for everything. It is very noticeable, even in written words how compassionate you are. Allison

I'm glad she's doing better. Give her a hug from us here. She must have been so scared. I can't imagine going through something so frightening. You must have been terrified for her. I'm glad you're both ok. You are TINY!! only 5 foot tall. Such a little thing! What size are you wearing now? I'm nearly 5'6", seems I grew a bit over the last few years. My doctor says exercise did it. I wear a 14. Some 16's depending on the cut. I did gain some water, but I also gained weight. My clothes are a bit tight. SO, I am trying to cut back. No goodies, unless they're sugar free, and very limited amounts of them. I'm watching my carbs, too, unless they're veggies, fruit, and dairy. ONce a food addict, always a food addict. I have to deal with that every day, and it's hard. Thanks for the very sweet words. Compassion is a gift from God, I believe. We all have it, but so many don't use it. He is compassionate to us. He sacrificed His son, Jesus, for us. And gives us the Bible to guide our lives and bring us closer to Him. Being a Witness taught me that. I think you have a sweet, kind heart, too. You show that in your words as well. Nona

Hi Nona, How are you? How's your weight? Up, Down, or Steady? My weight goes from 130-135lbs. I remain steady and at GOAL Any eating issues? I always have issues and will until the day I die with eating. I guess this will be my downfall and something I battle all the time. Plans for the new year? I have not as yet made any plans. I will be off until January 9th. I am having my vein ligation surgery December 5th.I had it done about 19 years ago, but since the WLS I have lost so much body fat they are right up on top hurting me so bad. Good Post Love you girl Lorraine

Hi Lorraine, Ooo, I can feel the pain. My veins stick out in my legs, too, but they don't hurt. I can just imagine if they did. I have muscle pain from FM. Some days it hurts just to get out of bed. Hope all goes well. Will you receive a pay while you're out? Short term disablility or something similar? I had that for my surgery. Glad I sure did. We wouldn't have been able to afford going without my pay for two months. How are they going to fix them? There is a proceedure using saline that's injected just under the skin that makes the veins shrink up and go back where they belong, but you have to go to a dermatologist for it and most insurances won't pay for it. Do they have to remove the vein? Just curious. You don't have to answer any of that if you don't want. Isn't it great about Steve C? Getting married!! That is so great. How are things going with your friend? And sparks? Nona
