Hurricane Katrina

Hey Guys~ Need your thoughts and prayers as I will be deployed this weekend with the American Red Cross in relief efforts in the effected hurricane areas. This is a tragic and sad time for those effected by this devastating natural disaster. I could not just sit and watch on tv as the victims struggle to survive. I am volunteering to go and I hope to make a small dent on fullfilling some of the needs of these brave people. I am sure I will see humanity at it's worse and at it's best. Please pray for me and more importantly the lives of those effected. I will be gone about three weeks and will update all when I return. Diane

Dear Diane, My prayers are with you and all of the folks in the effected Gulf states. It is so very depressing to watch on the News let alone be there. I have contributed to the American Red Cross online and only wish I could do more. The gas prices are killing me and its really put a big, big dent in my purse. I know its probably like that for just about everyone. May God be with you and all of you volunteers on this ever so needed journey. Lyric

How wonderful of you to be so unselfish and brave. I will pray for you every night. It makes me feel ashamed how I would be scared to go. I was thinking about sending money to the people who will rebuild their houses and I love the salvation army. I wish we could hear from you inbetween times until you get back. Please give us lots of details. I know I will be thinking of you every time I hear the words Red Cross and anything to do with the whole situation. Allison
