20 month post-op
Hi there Steve How are you doing? Your weight loss is just wonderful. You have lost more than half of yourself. You need to be real proud. I really don't have any pain, but I do suffer depression at times. I am 53 and have never felt better. Please take care and keep us posted on how you feel. Here is a (((((((((((((( HUG))))))))))))))))))))) for you.
Lorraine
Dear Steve,
You should post more. I think we all have times we get depressed, and the people here on this board really care about each other and we all talk about the things that are bothering us. I don't know what your pain is. Please tell us so we can pray about it. I remember when I went for the surgery, they asked if I had any problems and my knees always hurt. I was so used to it that I almost didn't even mention it, and when I did the lady said, YOU ARE TOO YOUNG FOR YOUR KNEES TO HURT. I am 50 now, that was about 3 years ago.
My back hurts a lot of days and I am used to that too, so much so, that I sometimes forget to mention that.

Hello Steve......first I have to congratulate you on your amazing weightloss Sorry to hear about the knee pain, is there any type of physical therepy that can help? About the depression, it happens to the best of us, I too deal with it and I am on medication for it. We all lose loved ones.....you can't let it get you so down.....there will be someone else out there for ya. Instead of focusing on the one that left you......focus on the one that is still there:YOURSELF Get some help for the knee pain, maybe some low impac****er exercises, maybe getting to the gym will also boost your self esteem.....maybe get to your PCP and see about getting something for depression.......This should be one of the greatest times in your life, you should be happy and living it!!! Did you know there is a singles board one here??? And there is also a mans board too......Do some stuff for you~hope you start to feel better....Take Care jesi
