Good morning Nona......First off....the pain isn't near as bad as I expected.....go in expecting the worse and it can only be better right??? I do take a pain pill maybe in the afternoon, but only half a pill now.....but I take a whole pain pil with a valium right before bed so I get a good night sleep I had the muscle reapir also and that valium is a muscle relaxer so it makes that tight tight tummy feel tons better....Seriously on a pain scale...right now it is almost 10 am, I have had nothing as far as pain meds and it might be a 1. As for the high incision.....I chose to have the muscle repair, which you can have without the high incision....but as you cn tell from the pics I had a lot of upper ab fat too......so simply getting rid of the big ole' panni...I would have still been unhappy as I would still be dealing with the upper rolls hanging out my shirts.......it is simply a personal choice to have the anchor cut or not.....if you are super fatty in the ab area I would reccomend it. And for me.....the extra scar I could care less about....I have been obese my whole life....I am never ever gonna wear a bikini ot tube top or anything that shows my belly......it just ain't me And lastly, seems as I am writing a book......if you look closely you will see that there are absolutely no external stiches........she uses hundreds inside but super glues the outside for a better looking scar......blew my mind thinking super glue could hold all that skin together.....but I am 5 days out now and its a holding strong Well take Care and have a great day jesi
Wow, kid. Imagine. Super Glue. Who'd ever had thought that? Boy, once you heal, you're going to be so SKINNY!!! My panne is about twice your size, but since it's insurance paid, it won't look as good. There will be scars and stitches, and I won't be as flat, but at least it'll be better than it is. Get lots of rest, little one.

Good morning Jesi~
I wanted tp pop in and let you know how happy I am that everything turned out ok with your plastics...I saw the pics. OUCH! It will all be a distant memory soon. Actually your stomache (before) look exactly like mine now. I can't wait to start with my plastics. Take care and keep us posted.
Your going to look even more incredible soon as the swelling is down!!
Have a great day!
Diane
That looks soooo flat! Wow! I am so excited for you!
and I was just wondering...
How did you guys find out what your insurance would cover ?(especially if you don't know what the plastic surgeon would say you need) Did you go to see a plastic surgeon first? I don't even know how to find one. I looked through what people wrote on the Ohio Doctors, but they didn't write much at all, and if you ask the forum, they say to go look at your state.
Ask your surgeon or your PCP to recommend one. Then, have them make an appointment. Make sure they accept your insurance. Have them apply for you, the reconstructive surgeon. Don't go to a cosmetic plastic, go to a reconstructive. Insurances won't pay for cosmetic plastic, only reconstructive. They do all the paper work for you. Your insurance company will determine if you're covered and mail you a letter letting you know of your decision.

Hi Jesi- I just saw your post-op plastics pics. I have been waiting since June for word on approval, but I think it will be denied.
I have to tell ya, I look just like you did pre-op, now. You know what I mean? Your pre-plastics pics look just like I do now pre-op pastics.
I have Blue Shield of Calif.
Wish me luck?
