Finally got on my bike
Hi there to all my friends.
How is everyone doing?
Well................... I finally got on a bike and began to ride again. Last year at this time I was suffering pain from the hernia. I did not know I had it until they opened me up last September. I could hardly walk and exercise.
My daughter moved out March 15th and left her new bike behind.Today I got on it and went straight to the boardwalk. I rode , rode, and loved it. I can't believe...."NO PAIN" I know this sounds strange to some of you, but I really had trouble riding before because of my bad knees, and the fact that I weighed 245 lbs and could hardly breathe.
Well now at 130 lbs and 15 months post-op, I am going to enjoy life. I am going to and love life. I sure hope you guys are enjoying it also as much as I am.
Is there something you are enjoying as much as me?
Peace and Lorraine
My baby is doing well. She took 5 steps without a walker, and climbed three stairs at her p/t class. I will be going over on Friday.
It is wonderful to be able to do things I couldn't before the surgery. The best is fitting in chairs, not looking at weight limits for things, buying clothes that don't look like bags.

Way to go Lorraine
I have been thinking about getting a bike. I'd love to get in shape for one of those really long rides, but it would also be fun just to ride for a bit of exercise.
I am doing just dandy Now 6 weeks post LBL and almost back to my old, well-new and improved-self. I still cant bend over 100% but feel great and my results have been fantastic. I have tons of housework to do...all the deep cleaning stuff that has been put off while I was on restrictions. Hopefully this weekend I will get to it.
I am holding steady at 118-119 depending on the day. Never in my life would I have imagined that I would be this size and feel so much better. Like you, I could not even walk through the grocery store wothout being in pain before WLS. My body was not built to hold 245lbs.
ENJOY Lorraine!! You have done GREAT!!!!
