WRONG CRAVINGS
Just wanted to know why I am craving the wrong foods.
Recently I went for my regular blood work and the doctor said that I was anemic, low white blood cell count and not enough protein.
He told me to meet with my nutritionist--(which I haven't had time to do) to see about eating more protein.
He also told me to take sub-lingual vitamin b-12.
Anyway--for about 2 months--I crave bread and chocoloate.
I would rather eat sweets than eat real food.
That's my problem. Instead of eating food-I eat toast or sweets. I am still managing to slowly lose weight but I can'st stop these cravings.
Even when I am asleep-I wake up craving something sweet.
Any ideas?

It's because your protein is low, so your body crave some fuel and the fastest, not the best, are carbs. So find a good protein shake. I Like Protein Delight in Alpine Chocolate. It even has pieces of chocolate in it. It's sweet, thick and very tasty. Drink two or three a day and the carb craving will disappear. I know. Been there. Done it.

I am always craving the wrong foods. "CRUNCHIES". Chocolate seems to make me feel a bit queasy.My blood work is great. All my levels are fine. I drink "Atkins Advantage" Chocolate Royal . It seems to take away the cravings. Old habits are hard to break. I really never ate the right things all my life.Everyday is a learning experience with this WLS.You made the right step when you decided to do it. Now we must just go.........."ONE DAY AT A TIME"
If you wake up with that craving try some Sugar free popsicles.Just remember you are human and I am sure you had these cravings before your WLS.
