What are your vacation plans?

Hi guys How is everyone doing? What are your vacation plans for this summer? Have you made them? Do you dread putting on those shorts and bathing suits? Yes I have made summer plans. In May I go upstate for my Nannys 83rd birthday. We do that every year. In July I go to "Philly Bash" It is a bash every year of all BBWS (BIG BEAUTIFUL WOMEN) If anyone cares to look on the website its under "PHILLY BASH 2005" In August I am off to Florida to spend time with a good friend. I don't dread the shorts as much as I fear those loose thighs shaking in my bathing suit.I hope they fit from last year. I have lost maybe 10 pds since last summer. I don't plan on any plastic surgery right now, so I must go through the summer like this. I will have some vein ligations done first in September. Those things are sticking out like crazy since my weight loss. Tell me about your plans and have a great Wednesday...Lorraine

Hi Lorraine Welcome back! I just got back from Az. visiting family and looking for investment property (no luck there). My husband and I had a great time though. We are going to Utah to visit friends for a weekend in mid-may. May look for homes there too. Know what you mean about the leg veins, man it's so gross! No halters, shorts, or bathing suits for me this year. I am too embarrassed for words with all this hanging skin. I have been going to school and working and am on my way out the door now for school. Hi Lorraine, My plans are very simple: To bring my grandson up from S.C. for two weeks. I can' t take full time off, but I can take half days. My mom in law will watch him while I work, so that won't be too bad. Other than that, we do plan a couple of days in late May to spend at a resort with some dear friends. But, although I do wear shorts, long shorts, no swim suit or tank tops for me. Too much skin. A good 20 lbs, I think. No way am I showing that around. Have a good day. Nona

We have some plans made for the summer. We will be going White River Rafting over the 4th of July with about 6 other couples. Some of our young adult kids will also be going. My neice and nephew from Houston will be spending a month between our house and my parents. I plan on taking them camping somewhere in MI, maybe at Interlochen State Park. Over Labor Day we will be spending the weekend at Mackinaw City and we will be walking the Mackinaw Bridge on Labor day. We will also be putting up a garage/pole barn and remodeling our kitchen. I am sure the summer will go by fast this year.

Hi lorraine We are driving from maryland to mass for a weeks stay and then on to Canada to see my Mother for 3 weeks.We will be pulling a trailer and 4 adults and 3 kids ages 6,7,7, in the van.So this should be one heck of a trip.......steve c

I don't have any summer vacation plans...but I am going to Chicago in October to do the Marathon...if you can call that a vacation... I am glad Old Navy has longer shorts this year As for running shorts...I just have to accept that they ride up to my underwear...after the first 2 minutes I don't notice...I always wonder what people think when I jiggle by.

Hi Lorraine, Hubby and I have plans to go to Georgia for a week in June. We're planning to stay in a cabin in the mountains and do a lot of fly fishing. I would love to go to a Braves game too. We are planning to go to Gatlinburg, TN the end of June thru July holiday. We have some time shares there and this year we decided to go there instead of trading them for another place. Family will join us so I think all together, there will be 21 gathering in the Smoky Mountains. I don't like the way I look in a bathing suit or shorts but being in South Florida, I can't let that stop me. Wrinkles are still better than the alternative.......... fat thighs and rolling abdomen.
