Help!!!
I have lost 140 pounds but still have about 50 to go. I am scared. I have not lost any more weight in the last 4 months. I have figured out how to eat the junk and very rarely do I dump on the junk food. I have discovered a food addiction that I wasn't aware of prior to the surgery but now how do I get off this plateau? I am trying to eat healthy and take my vits but sometimes the junk just looks so much better! I need some suggestions desperately.
Maria,
I am happy to see that i am not alone, and i hope you are relieved too. I have only lost about 10 pounds over the last 4 mts or so, but i also know that it is my own fault. What i am doing is recommitting myself to a healthier lifesytle. No carbs, LOTS of protein, and lots of SF liquids. I am just this week starting to keep track of what i eat and am going to call this week for an appt with the nutritionist at the Dr's office. I also figured out how to eat the junk food. I know what my tummy can and cant take. The only thing i seem to dump on is yogurt and anything with more than a touch of sugar. Some days all it takes it to accidentally get regular instead of decaff and its off to the races!!LOL. I also have been tryin to remember to take my vitamins and medication. Also try to get a little more exercise in each day..even a little bit is good and is so wonderful for your mood! Anytime you want to talk, feel free to email me
Thank you so much for the letting me know I am not the only one. I guess I am so thankful that I am 227 over 367 but when I know I should be farther along it stinks. Thanks for the reality check..I made an appt at the nutritionist but I already knew everything she was going to tell me.. I am also trying to take my vits and drink my fluids, I also joined curves..which is a great way to excercise. I will be sure to chat with you more later, thanks for the reply!!
I have a plateau breaker on my profile. Check it out. I am actually doing it right now to lose the last 5 lbs. But everyone says you have to go back to basics. Protein, Water, no snacking (that's the toughie), and exercise. You can do this!
And you are probably still losing inches. When I don't lose the lbs I do notice that my sizes are still shrinking downward. I'm already in an 8 but I think before this is over I will be in a 4-6! That blows my mind. From a 28+ to an 8!
Go for it and get it done! Cheering you on!
Maria~ I hear you. I am having the same problem. I think mine is more mental. You know I will only eat one and its better then eating the whole bag of chips. Or its better to just eat one cookie. I think we all know what we have to do but its the doing it is the hardest part... Getting back to excersizing and watching what I eat. Good Luck!
